Today we’ll talk about When Life Gives You Tangerines.
Total episodes: 16
Released on Netflix on March 7, 2025.
When Life Gives You Tangerines is an emotional, slow-burn, and deeply heart-touching K-drama that beautifully shows romance along with family struggles, poverty, sacrifice, and lifelong love. The story begins on Jeju Island and follows the characters from the 1950s to modern times. IU and Park Bo-gum’s chemistry was especially loved by viewers.

Personally, this drama was completely different from my usual taste, but it became one of my absolute favorites. The reason is how emotional and beautifully written it was. The way it highlighted the struggles of parents is something not every drama manages to show. Both the male and female leads’ hardships were portrayed so realistically and emotionally.
Honestly, there wasn’t even a single episode where I didn’t cry. Every scene felt so heart-touching and meaningful, and it’s the kind of drama I could watch again and again without getting bored.
If you enjoy emotional struggle stories with soft, light slices of love and life, then this drama is definitely for you. I would truly recommend everyone to watch it at least once in their life.

The love story you described is actually my type. But I can't watch emotional dramas because I cried out loud whenever I watch such series or dramas.

You should must watch it...
