Seaside resorts are not just about the sea, swimming and sunbathing. Even on a day when the weather is not the most beautiful and the sun is less, we can enjoy walking and observing the environment that surrounds us. We can see things that we often tend to overlook as tourists, but which are nevertheless admirable.

Many activities in the tourist area are always in some way related to tourism, but many locals also live a "normal life", like people from everywhere. They work in agriculture, trade, factories and various service activities.

Cultivated fields, landscaped meadows, beautiful vineyards and olive groves ... all this helps us to have a better, more pleasant holiday as a tourist in some place.

I know that swimming and sunbathing is what usually attracts you the most at sea, but take your time and enjoy other activities and adventures as well.

It's stupid to sit all day in the water ...))
The surroundings are much more interesting, especially if you have a camera.
Let me share one little observation. It concerns the technical side of photo processing. Once upon a time I was also prompted this trick and I am obliged to pass the baton.
You have beautiful landscape photos. But in a landscape (especially a marine one), the horizon line is very important. An inclined horizon always spoils a photo. There are cases of deliberate tilt, dictated by the peculiarities of the plot (to give dynamics, to strengthen something). But as a rule, the horizon line should be parallel to the horizontal edge of the photo. The vertical (in the middle of the photo) must be strictly vertical. When this is not observed, the photograph tends to look sloppy.
Previously, I did not pay attention to this at all, I simply did not know this aspect of the photo. Now you know too))

Позволь поделиться одним маленьким наблюдением. Оно касается технической стороны обработки фото. Когда-то мне тоже подсказали этот трюк и я обязан передать эстафету.
У тебя красивые пейзажные фото. Но в пейзаже (особенно морском) очень важна линия горизонта. Наклонный горизонт всегда портит фотографию. Бывают случаи преднамеренного наклона, продиктованные особенностями сюжета (придать динамики, что-то усилить). Но как правило линия горизонта должна быть параллельна горизонтальному краю фото. Вертикаль (по середине фото) должна быть строго вертикальной. Когда это не соблюдается, фотография как правило выглядит неряшливо.
Раньше я вообще не обращал на это внимания, этот аспект фото я просто не знал. Теперь знаешь и ты ))
Thanks for the positioning tip of the horizon. I always try to take the shots the way you are describing, but with this photo I had to hold the dog leash in one hand and mobile phone in another hand, so the horizontal line ain't parallel as it should be. You have a very good eye, @bambuka.
I also often miss the horizon when shooting. But I use a photo editor. I have Lightroom, but there are simpler and free ones like FastStone. Try it, it's a quick correction and a good result
Thanks for the suggestion, @bambuka. I'll try FastStone or Lightroom ASAP. I was never big fan of photo editing, but I guess it's really needed sometimes. Thanks a lot!
I don't like editing photos. It should look as natural as possible. But I shoot in RAW and I don't always set the exact settings. A lot can be developed from a raw frame.
I just do exposure correction, white balance, sometimes I add a little sharpness.
True, sometimes I just start playing with the settings, but this is no longer about photography)) These are more pictures and postcards.
Fantastic post my friend @zorank which gives us an insight to what Istria really is. I love the vineyards photo and the hay bales with the sea in the background. I can’t agree with you more that there should be more travellers than tourists and people shouldn’t spend just a week in a four star all inclusive hotel and then consider they actually know what Croatia is all about. I’ve been to Istria for holiday. A flight to Pula and then a rental car take you to paradise like places both on the coast or inland, all very authentic.

These are beautiful view and you are right there are lot of other thing you can see and also enjoy doing aside swimming and sunbathing. The water body close to where I live people go there to swim and have a good time with there family and friends. There's a small town at the river bank filled with fishermen all wooden house. I enjoy watching them fishing. I sometimes move closer when they sort there catch to ask them questions which I got a wholesome of answers from experienced fishermen before I left. So there are a lotof thing to do or experience. Nice shots my dear friend @zorank
