On a sunny day and with clear weather looking north towards Austria and Italy you can admire the beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Alps. Such a view can be seen from autumn to late spring, sometimes even longer. This view extends to a distance of at least 100 km and more. I have always liked the fact that in such a small area it is possible to feel the climate of the Mediterranean, but at the same time admire the mountain peaks on the horizon.

Small palm trees, which give at least some shade to bathers in summer, are waiting to be pruned and covered to make it easier to defend against the bora in winter. When there is a storm and the waves are stronger, they are often flooded by sea water, but it seems that this does not bother them too much, at least for now.

The old wooden trailer, which is set up near the Lungomare restaurant by the Karpinjan beach in Novigrad, is today only a memory of the old days, when local farmers transported crops with such trailers. However, it is nice to see that it has been preserved and made available for everyone to see.
