Please tell can we make paintings in this contest and if no which one is better for artworks

This contest is all about gaining the articles which will be published in the newspaper so text is much more important than the photos or paintings attached. You may write some article and add your paintings but the most important thing which I'll be checking is the text.
Paintings as well as photography are allowed in the cover contest.

Unfortunately we don't have any competition which would be about publishing the artwork exclusively.
