Weekly Contest # 4 | SHOW YOUR LIBRARY | My Entry

Hello, fellow Steemit users. As it is said that, "Books are a man's best friend." I totally agree with this statement. Books are indeed filled with wisdom, knowledge, facts, and stories. They help us extend our imagination and we are able to dive deeper into the world of the author's imagination. And a library is a place where you just want to be stranded forever. The place is dwelling with a number of books of several different genres. As per the rules of this contest, I would like to begin with my entry.

The pictures above are from my bookshelf, where I have kept all the books I have with me. I am very fond of reading and writing. Ever since I was little, I wanted to become a writer and an artist. I was very fascinated by reading stories when I was little and gradually as I grew up, my interest also evolved and I started reading novels and other different works of authors. But the most that I like are based on the genre of horror and fantasy. A few years back, I was a huge fan of Goosebumps. As you can see from the pictures, I have a lot of them. The horrorland series of Goosebumps was indeed a treat.

You can also notice some comics at the side. I enjoyed reading comics a lot. Chacha Chowdhary and Billu were two of my favorite comics. Whenever my family would go out on a trip somewhere via train, then my brother and I would definitely make sure to purchase a comic for the journey. I would read my comic while on the journey and when I had finished it, I would switch it with my brother's comic so we can read each other's. The comics were very funny. The character of Billu in particular is one of the wittiest characters ever. The comic of Chacha Chowdhary is filled with his daring conquests with his pal Sabu. He uses his intelligence to crack all the cases and Sabu, well he has all the muscle power.

I am also a huge fan of the Mistborn series. I have not read it completely yet but still the story seems pretty interesting. I am looking forward to reading some other fantasy series as well. A lot of the stories from these books are being adapted into series as well to be made available on Netflix and Prime. I am still pursuing to read more and more. I also wish to author several novels and books in the future.
