Memories they say worth repeating. They give us reasons to make things happen again. If a moment is well spent, memories will possibly shine and light that brings back those gone moments. Reminiscing the numerous activities l have directly been involved in makes me want to bring back those days. It is impossible to rewind time, l would certainly change it to some of these moments. Thanks to my cousin and a true friend, @mcsamm through whose hard work brought me to the steem blockchain.

I remember so well the hard work he made to get me convinced to be here in 2017. I felt being worried those times because social media was not my style. But indeed l have never regretted making a decision to give @mcsamm ears by simply trying something on steem blockchain. However, it was not easy when l first joined. My introductory post was through his guidance and support which l still give him recognition for his hard work.

My first meetup

I still will definitely make this my best moment here on steemit even though l had been to many subsequent meetups here on the blockchain. I have understood the need to share more with people around us. Steemit promotion l will say is one of the best things that any steemian must begin to practice. It opens many doors and opportunities to meet many different people that you may have not to meet in any way. A whole description and a sort of excitement were ascribed to this meetup which l had never seen. Maybe this could be the fact that it was a nationwide meetup organized in Ghana.

The inclusion of steemians from our sister country, Nigeria also gave that meetup a very special recognition. The presence of @ejemai @adejoke16 @tojukaka and many others who came from Nigeria was a great motivation for some of us then. This was the very first-time l saw some wonderful and successful steemians here in ghana like @tj4real @richforever @collinz @anaman @kwakumaxx and @jeeandmee. They were the few Ghanaians on the steem blockchain who has demonstrated themselves so well in the community to assist some of us. Even though l had known @mcsamm for years but his motivation and the presence of these men made me super excited to join the meetup that occurred at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

The meeting

This meeting took place in the morning somewhere 10 am after we had made about a 3hrs journey from Kumasi to Sunyani. Arrangements were well made to meet the occasion. This was the first time l stepped out of the street to share steemit flyers on the streets of Sunyani. The sharing of flyers preceded the meeting which invited many people from the street to join the meetup. The day was so much spent.

It looked as if the education l had got since l joined steemit was not enough until l made it to this meeting. This was when l realized the importance of steem meetups. I may not know how it happens in other parts of the world. But here in Ghana, this meetup gave me so much insight into the things l had done on the internet over the past years which was a waste of time. We had a marvelous attendance even though one at Kumasi l once attended had so much attendance than this.

This is the uniqueness of the meeting which still appears to be the best moment l have ever had on the steem blockchain. Apart from the joy of seeing all the steemians l have chatted but never seen before l established a very strong connection with some of the steemians from Nigeria which we still get in touch always. My visit to Nigeria over the years was the best because of the friendship that l developed through steem meetup. Among these steem friends l have are my best pals when it comes t social media activities. They visit me here in ghana, we tour, eat and do everything together like belonging to the same family. This is the steem family l belong to.

The meetup took us to the house of @tj4real where all stemians from Kumasi took time to share and discuss more to establish a strong bond between steemghana and steemnigeria. Since then, there has been good communication and support among all steemians from these two countries. The reception that was given after the meetup by the family of @tj4real was so much commended. It was amazing to see how steemit could unite people like this.

 Discussions after meetup

Truthfully, this was the first l had ever seen in my life. Joy and so much excitement were all over me. It wasn't surprising some members requested a notional meet-up again after a few weeks. Coming back from this meeting motivated me to also share and promote steemit with the people that l work with. Working with a financial institution is sometimes difficult to be involved in blockchain activities. But steemit has made it so simple for my colleagues to look into how the best banks can survive the rising cryptocurrency in Ghana. I must confess this was a life-changing moment l have experienced since my existence on the steem blockchain. Thanks to @nattybongo and @mcsamm through @steem-ghana to collect experiences and best moments of people like us on the steemit blockchain. Thanks to everyone for your support as well.
