Amber and Jax were always fighting over the smallest issue. Don't be deceived, these two loved and cherished each other very much. Jax was a jolly happy soul. He was everyone's best friend, jovial and full of energy. It was quite unbelievable that out of all the maidens in their small town, he had a soft spot for Amber who was quite the opposite of him.

Amber was the quiet type. She didn't have and make that many friends. She was an overthinker, sometimes losing touch with reality and making a big fuss about the simplest of thoughts. Above all, she was proud and entangled by pride.

The connection between Jax and Amber was clearly evident, though they both denied the matter whenever it came to light. Jax wanted Amber to open up to him so he could get to know her better but Amber proved stubborn. Deep down, she was yearning to let him in but her actions said otherwise. She didn't answer his calls and when she did, the conversation ended in a jiffy with one party feeling sorry and the other mad.

Trying to please an overthinker is no small task. Every simple word that came out of his mouth was scrutinized down to the slightest detail and found unworthy. Jax, being the jovial type could never please Amber no matter how hard he tried, as least that was his assumption due to the cold treatment he received from her.

On the other hand, Amber told stories of how great and amazing Jax was to the few in her inner circle who were unknown to Jax. Only those closest to her knew how she really felt about Jax. Deep down, she enjoyed having conversations with him, always overjoyed to hear from him but would never reveal it to Jax.

Slowly, Jax was losing interest as he felt unwanted and unwelcomed until one day, he called it quits on Amber. He had had enough of the fights and feeling of regret whenever he made contact with Amber and decided that enough was enough. He moved on without saying a word to Amber. After some time, Amber who couldn't hold herself together anymore decided to move out of her comfort zone and contact Jax. To her dismay, she found out he wanted nothing more to do with her.

Jax had a call one faithful morning about an attempted suicide. Though the caller was unknown to him, the words 'Amber', 'attempted suicide' and 'coma' made his heart skip at least a dozen beats. He quickly rushed to the hospital as he was directed. He couldn't believe the sight of Amber on the hospital bed fighting for her life after she allegedly took an overdose of a certain drug.

A note was handed over to Jax and as he read it, he burst into tears wishing he never gave up on her. It was now evident to him that the feeling he had for Amber was mutual and feared it was too late. He was told stories of how Amber always talked about him and was madly in love with him. Jax spent all his time by Amber's side at the hospital, addressing every need as requested by the doctors.

Amber woke from her coma on the fourth day of her hospitalization. She was overjoyed to see Jax by her side. She confessed all her feelings to him as he did likewise. What was evident from the beginning was finally realized by both sides. They both vowed to love each other, regardless of each others' flaws and shortcomings.

Jax and Amber got married the following year and were blessed with twins in their first year of marriage. The couple lived together in happiness, sailing the stormy seas and cool waves together as one happy couple.
