Inside the maternity ward ( the diary game) 10th June, 2022 My Friday Activities

Wow! I can't really exasperate the feeling i am having now, after visiting the maternity ward today. Going through the days activities where women carry kids at their backs and others infront of them, we fail to acknowledge the various emotional and psychological problems that goes on there.

The love for bringing ofspring is more important to my fellow women than anything. Facial expression moving from the house when one is in labour, through to the ward and sometime to the surgical ward for surgery when she's not able to give birth through the normal process.

My elder sister went to the labour ward yesterday and sitting and watching events unfold at the guest area, i could anticipate how things was going to be if i was the one been stretchered away. In some years back, it was a bridge between life and death where most women go to give life and lose theirs in the process.

  • Though it has gone down small but maternal deaths do happen in some towns and villages where its difficult for qualified health workers to visit or places where the road is too bad for people to get easy access to the nearest hospital.

After countless hours of sitting and praying when my blood was mived to the surgical room to be operated on, i finally regained or rediscovered myself when she was stretchered back to the females ward the same way they took her to the surgical ward. She was shivering like a virgine who has tasted orgasm for the first time.

She was not able to talk much but out of the pains, she called for her new born daughter. I realised why, the whole world comes together in celebrating mothers day more than that of fathers.

I could count the number of women, old and young who had come to labor. The joy was that, i saw only one man who came to accompany their wives. Itwas these women and their mothers or closed sibling who mostly come because after everything is done, you may need a female to assist before the person is allowed to go home.

For some two days now, has is not allowed to eat anything heavy and even yesterday, she was not allowed to eat anything after the surgery.

I can't tell you exactly everything i saw because, some of these events are private but what i can't forget is the love between women who are in the labour room. They care so much for one another especially to those who for some reason lost their babies. Some come and for some few minutes, put to bed and others will be there for longer hours before they give birth or taken to the surgical ward to be operated on.

Thats the smile when the Thursday finest final came out. This child shares the day day with me. To my fellow steemians abroad, anyone born on Thursdays has a name already and that is Yaa whenshe is female and Yaw is he's male.

Praise be to God because, she has a life intact and a beautiful baby girl as well. Hmm! My fears has gone up after seeing all the things i saw but i know time will eliminate all these from my memory. God bless all parents around the world

Being a woman you have to be strong…sometimes I wonder if we men are strong enough to handle what they do…children are blessings.
