Punishment Through Our Own Negligence || Let's Heal Our Psychological & Emotional Mindset In Our Societies

Mankind was made with numerous innovations, creativity, skills, ability to invent and renovate. Nature has embedded the multifaceted mind to bring to life and create what was not in position. Even though we are not comparable to God in terms of creation and abilities create things naturally. But, the earth was created for us to have control and harness and amend things, especially when things are not in order or good shape.

Our ability to make machines, feed them, let them function means that we nature gave us talents to create. The fact that we are able to care for our wards means that we are caretakers and guidance on this planet for our wards. Our capacity to construct roads, tare them shows that we are good artists. Let just reflect the ideas how vehicles acceleration and stay motionless when the brakes are applied. The flights of aeroplanes are so wonderful and similar to the way avian flies. All these are ways we can invent through scientific knowledge.

I believe with all these talents, mankind is not made to practice negligence or careless to their own environment once we have ability to arrange and amend. It is obvious that we are sometimes punished through our own negligence. Why am I saying this? Ghana has faced a lot of devastation through flooding and fire outbreaks. The first to ruin most parts of the country was fire outbreaks. This might be attributed to cruel actions negligence on some part of people. Fake use of materials for wiring and unprofessional works are some of the outcome of these disasters.
Why do we lease lands to people while we know that those areas are prone to flooding? Why do we be greedy for money and sell swampy areas for innocent people for them to be engulf with flooding action when there is heavy down pour? We ask, where are the Town planners and land surveyors? What is their main job in the Country as far as settlement is concerned? Get to most well known cities like Accra and Kumasi, which are the most populated centres in Ghana. Many people are drowned whenever it rains. Many people are dying while we can take some measures to combat this environmental issues.

What would be the result when are careless of distilling choked gutters of water drains? If the water ways are blocked, what would happen is that when it rains, the runoff will overflow on the the environment. The worse part is that, the flood flows through structures and buildings around.

The selfishness among people mostly lead to these disasters. A scenario is Kumasi Kejetia where markets have been built but traders have been selling items on road sides thereby leaving waste items in gutters. This as a result, block water ways cause flooding when it rains.

We must therefore heal the sickness of negligence and carelessness. We should first sanitize our minds of neglecting things we should do to support our environment to be worthy of living. We should not wait for the calamity to happen before we try to solve. We all contribute building a beautiful nation. We normally shift the blame to our Authorities, but that's not the case. I believe the work of NADMO should not only geared towards supporting those victimized by the disaster, but should take measures to prevent the occurrence of disasters that are likely to happen.

I really love reading every part of the write up. The above is the way to go but it's sad how in Ghana some people are very aware of the consequences of their actions yet still live carelessly. In the end they will cry to God for help when He has already given them wisdom to make good decisions

We can do better, it's all about our mindset

Ghana is for us all, and it is our individual and collaborative duty to take care of it. The trending lifestyle of blaming politicians for every event is not the way forward. We are all equally responsible; hence, let us all contribute to the development of our motherland any means possible. Yen ara yaase ni.

We are the cause of our problems and the same time the solution to the problem

Hmm, it's rather unfortunate this has to happen all the time. We don't learn anything as a country.

Our problem is we waste precious time praying for miracles even when the situation can be solved by common sense. Nice write up
