When we say you are Author, you possess a great name. It is like in those days when we say you are from College or University. The illiterates value you as a king thinking that you are indeed knowledgeable and intelligent with all things in your memory. Even today, we still hold that assumption, so we never underrate the elites since knowledge we say is power. Who then is an Author?

According to Wikipedia "An author is the creator or originator of any written work such as a book or play, and is also considered a writer. More broadly defined, an author is "the person who originated or gave existence to anything" and whose authorship determines responsibility for what was created."

In simple language, an Author is someone who publishes a piece of work, such as word process, a book, story or a play. The Author is the sole owner of his own work, and he is originator of his work.

A good Author values content he publishes. Sees to it that the work, that's the words he has processed are well sieved and edited. This is simply because the work is going to pass through public view and so many channels. Those people who will read and add value to the Author's content might be of higher class learners even than that Author, hence the need to scrutinize and edit the work well. An Author of a book cannot just use one day to write, read, edit and proof read/edit and publish the book at the same day. To some Authors they have to spend time about a months or more get some good readers to proof read with some cost.

We will say that being A Steem Author is like An Author of A Book that we know. We must in similar way value any article we share on Steemit blockchain. This is because many people read our contents and add value to them. Some of these contents answer the problems of those who read. We might not know whether some of these projects we embark on are good sources of materials for experimental base for some people. Steem is going to be like searching some important thing on google browser and giving out answers within a short time. Do you even know that some of the things which concern about Crypto when you want to get answers you are redirected to some of the Steem contents?

How many times, days, week or month do we spend before coming out with our contents being shared here on Steem? I don't think the lengthy writers will even spend a week on their posts before sharing. Some Steemians spend less than an hour. Less compare Authors of Books, ours is simple. Some of us might rush for Upvote so the don't take their time to share good content. They do not read, proof read and edit before the post reaches the Steem Blockchain. What about the grammatical construction? Some Steemians think that readers don't get time to read, but that's is not true. Even though some Steemians overlook but not all. Especially when it comes to curation which is strictly based on your output of work.

We need to be Good Steem Authors if we want our contents to be valued and attract good rewards. We are lucky to have the Newcomers Achievement Task 4 which guides us about how to input markdowns to make our articles very nice. If you are A Newcomer, you have to utilize the opportunity and learn. Learning is a process and one can learn from unknown to known. Most of the things we learn here are technical from what we know already. But, as soon as we learn, we in turn add new ideas to what we already have. When it comes to Crypto World, many of us lack many ideas, that is why the Crypto Academy has come to stay involving all newcomers to be educated. For the basic markdowns in our posts we can learn it very easily since they are embedded in our keypads. Few ones I would like us to revisit them as soon as possible.

1.To justify your posts use these:

<div class="text-justify">justify Steem post</div>

One important of justification of post is to let the content look spacious in between words for easily readable.

2. To leave a paragraph from one passage to the other use these:

<hr> or _______

These symbols help to leave a gab between paragraphs to make reading Interesting. Many Newbies write without paragraphs and you can learn from this post.

3. To center your text, image of source of link use these:

<center>use to center your post</center>

4. To align your work at left side of your editor page or align right use these:

a. Align left:

<div class="pull-left">align left</div>

b. Align right:

<div class="pull-right">align right</div>

5. To use subscription on your post:

As in H2O, you can use these:

makes words or numbers look smaller

The `sub' markdowns as illustrated above👆 can be used captions on pictures too especially when you want the words look very smaller.

6. How to use different Headers from bigger to smaller:

1

#

2

##

3

###

4

####

5

#####

6

######

The least Header is ###### and the biggest is #.

7. To bold your work, bold and italic or italic alone, you can use:

a. Bold:

**Bold**

b. Bold & Italic:

***Bold***

c. Italic alone:

*Bold*

8. To highlight a text you can use these:

>highlight a text

I believe with these basic markdowns we have come out they are going to help you present your work very neatly to avoid disorganize work. The main work in Steem is blogging and as A Blogger or A Good Author much is expected from you as far as content is concerned. Please let's all help to cultivate a habit of producing what is best for Steem, so that Steem would be seen as incredible and authentic site worth sharing contents.

Our pleasure and you are welcome to the future of Blockchain. Let's Steemon!
