Are you checking posts in your community for plagiarism?

Hi @steemcurator01,

We check for suspicious contents and strive to deal with plagiarism in the community. But every once a while, there are people who manage to elude us and promote their stolen contents within the community. We will be sure to intensify our detection methods in order to put a stop to all these culprits.

Thanks for notifying us.

Hi, @steemcurator01

I suggest check posts for uniqueness. The check is in silent mode for the user, and does not disturb the user at all.

I will post a weekly report in your community.
And also, using a special system, administrators and moderators will be notified in real time about posts with a uniqueness below 80%.

Every day (even every 10 minutes) new posts in the community are checked for uniqueness of the text. If the uniqueness of the text is above 80%, then there is a comment on a special post in MY account, with a message that everything is OK and the uniqueness is above 80%.

There is absolutely no anxiety for the participant. There are no comments on his account.

If the uniqueness of the text is less than 80%, then a message about this is also included in the comments to MY post, with a link to the post, as well as a link to a page where there is a similar text. In the comment, I mention the admins and community moderators to pay attention.

This is just a help to administrators, an indication of the importance of manual verification. However, it is important to make a balanced decision and check manually.

This would be awesome, I think I would support this project.

Hello @steemcurator01,

In answer to your question, yes please we do check plagiarism but i must also add to the fact that every now and then some manage to sneak through the cracks which i don't know if it is perhaps the system we are using to check. For instance the system failed to get this probably as a result of the video transcription.

I believe that we may have to improve our systems and learn more sophisticated ways to catch some of these acts before they get out of hand. I am happy that you brought it to our attention. Would reach out to my njaywan and together we can duly sort these out before it become something else.

Thank you very much

I saw you were suspicious… I’ve shared more detail on Discord 😊
