Greetings all, I am @novaamalia and this is my second post in the SteemWomen Club community, after getting verification from the team and also the Mod I officially became a member of this community, and I will share posts that match my interests in Photography, traveling, share about Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency.
In this post, I will provide information about the Woman who became a pioneer in the world of Blockchain and cryptocurrency, as well as share information about the project she worked on so that she became one of the Polkadot Blockchain Projects which is famous for its technology.
About Bette Chen
Bette Chen is one of the women from New Zealand who became the Co-Founder behind the big project from Poldakot Blockchain, namely Acala and Laminar, together with a friend she founded Acala in 2019 at the Acala foundation event together with the team from the Polkadot ecosystem.
Bette Chen is a graduate of The University of Auckland majoring in Software Engineering, a Master of Business from the University of Otago, and also Duke University, in addition to serving as Co-Founder at Acala. Bette Chen is also Chief Operating Officer at the Laminar Protocol of the Polkadot Blockchain, this woman already has a lot of experience in the world of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies, she has attended Cohort SP20 Barkeley Blockchain Xcelerator, became Co-Founder of Flowingo as well experience as a project manager and business analyst.
Bette Chen is the only woman who is the Co-Founder of a large project of Polkadot Blockchain that changes stereotypes about women, many think that women are not capable enough to be side by side with men in technology, especially Blockchain, but Bette Chen is one of many women who managed to become an important figure in technology with his expertise and experience.
Acala Network
Acala Network (ACA) is a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) platform from the Polkadot Blockchain which has a function as an option for digital finance where using Acala financial transactions will be easier because they use Smart Contracts without the need for authorities, besides that Acala is compatible with Ethereum, and become one of the scalable networks. Acala earned the nickname "The DeFi Hub of Polkadot" because currently many large projects have entered their ecosystem from DeFi, FinTech, Gaming, NFT, Wallet, Parachains, and many other projects that have used Acala a lot.
Acala provides digital financial solutions such as a StableCoin called aUSD which is A native decentralized stable coin from the Polkadot Blockchain. This aUSD follows the USD price, 1aUSD = 1 USD. aUSD has several features that make it different from other stablecoins, namely:
- Censorship Resistance
- Multi Collateralized
- Secure & Efficient
- Natively Cross-chain
aUSD is funded by the Web3 Foundation where the stablecoin project that is at the core of Acala makes it a parachain on the Polkadot network. This aUSD will be a Decentralized stable coin that can be used across the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. Acala was not built by Bette Chen alone, she was accompanied by her male friends like Ruitao Su, Fuyao Jiang, and Bryan Chen. They co-founded Acala and other ecosystems of the Polkadot network kinda as Laminar and Polkawallet.
sourceAcala is one of Polkadot's projects created to close the gap between Ethereum and Polkadot by offering Stablecoins, DeFi services, Liquid Staking, and Decentralized Exchange. Moreover, by using Acala, users do not need to be afraid of expensive gas fees, because Acala provides relief on Gas fees in every transaction, this can be an alternative for users with small capital.
Conclusion
In this post, we can find out that there are already many women out there who are pioneers in the world of technology and can compete with men, as women we must not be consumed by the stereotype that women must be below men. Bette Chen is an example of an outstanding woman who achieved her ambition of being a big name in a well-known Blockchain project this day.
The point is to keep the spirit to realize the dream of becoming a strong woman who can compete with men from every aspect without the need to bring each other down, because every human being, both men and woman, has the same rights in carrying out the life they want.
