Hello dear friends;

This is my first post on Comunidad Latina. I had the opportunity to meet this community through Steemit Engagement Challenge. First of all, I decided to participate in this challenge because the topic of the challenge was very delicious and related to my favorite meal of the day. While browsing my photo gallery for the challenge, my appetite was also very hungry. I think I will be on my way to the kitchen after completing this post. Before diving into the topic, I would like to invite my dear friends @baycan, @ozenozge and @eminee580 to this contest.

What is your favorite breakfast?

I can honestly say that this subject has been challenging for me. Because I love breakfast and it can be challenging to choose my favorite menu among many options. But fried peppers for breakfast will be the first in line. This might seem strange to some people because they might find fried peppers for breakfast heavy. However, since I've been used to fried peppers for breakfast since I was a kid, it seems quite ordinary to me. Of course, we mix the fried peppers with garlic yogurt and eat them. One of my biggest advantages is that we grow peppers. Therefore, if we want to fry peppers for breakfast in the summer, we go and pick the peppers directly from the garden. Since the peppers are very fresh, the flavor is completely different. Sometimes when we are out of the city, we buy peppers from the market and fry them and this fried pepper does not have the same flavor.

Tea is indispensable for our breakfasts

My favorite breakfast is fried peppers with lots of yogurt. But we don't only eat fried peppers for breakfast. We also have egg, cheese, tomatoes, olives, jams, honey, cucumbers, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes and other indispensable products of our breakfasts. We can vary and change these ingredients according to our taste. Oh, and of course tea. A breakfast without tea is unthinkable for us.

What time do you have breakfast? And who prepares it?

We start preparing breakfast as soon as we get up in the morning. Normally, breakfast is ready between 9-10 am. But this is not a strict rule. Since we are engaged in farming, we adjust our sleeping hours according to the situation. On our lazy days, breakfast can even last until noon.
Usually I or my mother prepares breakfast. The first one to get up starts to lose water to brew tea. As I mentioned above, tea is one of the most important components of breakfast.

Turkish breakfast has a really wide spectrum. It is possible to vary it quite a lot. But there are also must-haves. Feta cheese, black/green olives, boiled or scrambled eggs, jams, honey, butter are a must in a classic Turkish breakfast. Not only these, but bread and tea can also be enough to define a classic Turkish breakfast. Apart from these, there are different products added to breakfast from time to time. For example, the menemen in the first photo. Menemen is a classic Turkish breakfast. For those who are curious, let me give you a simple menemen recipe.

Ingredients

  • Tomato
  • Green Pepper
  • Egg
  • Kashar Cheese
  • Butter

Preparation
Cook the tomato until the juice is reduced, add butter. Add the peppers and cook. Beat the yolk of the egg, pour it over the peppers when they are cooked. When the eggs are cooked, pour the grated kashar cheese on it. Cook on low heat until the cheese melts.

There is a big debate about menemen in Turkey😁. Some people make menemen with onions, while others make it without onions. As you can see from the recipe above, I am on the onionless side.

Finally, breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me. Sometimes I spend the day with only breakfast and dinner. I value breakfast because it keeps me energized throughout the day.
