I have always said that love is much like a plant. It can grow if it has the proper conditions to flourish and it can die if it lacks something. The beautiful flowers and leaves are exposed for everyone to see but there are also the unseen roots that stabilise the plant and help to provide nourishment.
I have also used the FIRE TRIANGLE, where in order for a fire to exist, it requires all 3 sides of the triangle: Fuel, Oxygen and Heat. Take away any one of the 3 sides and the fire dies. Similarly, LOVE requires trust, admiration and respect. Take any of those away and the love will die.
