It's a very complex subject, with a lot to say, and of course, there's something religious about everything that's socially discussed, even though I consider myself quite distant from any religion.
Free choice is part of our lives, or it should be. Still, I personally struggle to fully understand why someone, even without an illness or even being financially well off, makes such a decision. There are many cases of people who seemingly have all the socioeconomic stability that many strive for, and yet they still make the decision to end their lives. It's complex, it really is.
This shows that we are more than the material, that there are things that are not filled with external things.
