These foods are perfect, always the same size. Pests do not touch them, which is the whole point. We hear promises that this will feed everyone and solve world hunger. Yet, I hesitate before biting into that uniform tomato. It feels too clean, too calculated.
Something important is missing in all this lab-made perfection. I want a bit of mess, the unpredictable feel of real nature. Is this the future we wanted for our plates? Or just the easiest, most sterile option?
