Today I wanted to participate in this initiative on Steemit, I found it very interesting because it reminded me of my father. As soon as I read the contest rules, the memory of him came to mind. At this moment, he is not on this earthly plane with us, but I know that from where he is he always accompanies me, I am also sure that he will know about my text.

Hoy quise participar en esta iniciativa en Steemit, me pareció muy interesante porque me recordó a mi padre. En cuanto leí las bases del concurso, su recuerdo me vino a la mente. En estos momentos, el no se encuentra en este plano terrenal con nosotros, pero, se que desde donde esta siempre me acompaña, también tengo la seguridad de que sabrá sobre mi texto.

I could mention many, but one of the first is: Reads the Bible
My father was a Christian, he believed strongly in God, so one time he gave me a Bible, and he told me to always read it. This is a very precious memory for me because my father always used to give gifts from his heart, which he appreciated.

By always having him in mind, sometimes there are things that remind me of what he did, one of them was taking care of his beloved chickens. He used to raise them alone because he liked animals a lot. He patiently fed them, sat watching them walk around the yard, cured them when they got sick, and took photos of them to send to his rooster-lover club.

A few days ago a blogger posted a video on Twitter with his chickens, so I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic about it. Behind every chicken, there was a story behind how he had chosen it. One of his chickens was even a gift from a security guard at the Miraflores Palace (seat of the Venezuelan government).

He really showed my sister and I patience, love and dedication through this craft.

Podría mencionar muchas, pero una de las primeras es: Lee la Biblia
Mi padre era cristiano, creía firmemente en Dios, así que una vez me regalo una Biblia, y me dijo que la leyera siempre. Este es un recuerdo muy preciado para mí porque mi padre siempre solía dar regalos desde su corazón, lo cual apreciaba.

Al tenerlo siempre presente, en ocasiones hay cosas que me recuerdan lo que hacía, una de ellas era cuidar de sus amados pollos. Acostumbraba a criarlos solo porque le gustaban mucho los animales. Los alimentaba pacientemente, se sentaba a observarlos caminar por el patio, los curaba cuando enfermaban, y les tomaba fotos para enviar a su club de amante de los gallos.

Hace unos días un blogger posteó en Twitter un vídeo con sus gallinas, así que no pude evitar sentirme un poco nostálgica por ello. Detrás de cada pollo, había una historia detrá de como lo había optenido. Incluso, una de sus gallinas era un regalo de un guardia de seguridad del Palacio de Miraflores (sede de gobierno venezolano).

Realmente nos mostró a mi hermana y a mi la paciencia, amor y dedicación por medio de este oficio.

Well, as you may have already noticed, I can't talk to him, however, he is always present in my mind. Many things remind me of my father.

I used to speak little with him, my parents were separated, I lived with my mother. Despite this, every time we saw him he told us about his experiences, it was very interesting to listen to him.

Bueno, como ya te habrás dado cuenta, no puedo hablar con el, sin embargo, siempre esta presente en mi mente. Muchas cosas me recuerdan a mi padre.

Solía hablar poco con el, mis padres estaban separados, yo vivía con mi madre. A pesar de ello, cada vez que lo veía nos contaba de sus vivencias, era muy interesante escucharlo.

Both. She trusted that everything in life must be reciprocal for there to be satisfaction. I always like to give my best, so I expect the same in return. So my friendships are based on that.

¿Eres de las personas que siempre le escribe a sus amigos o por el contrario, eres de los que espera a que le escriban? ¿Por qué?

Ambas. Confió en que todo en la vida debe ser reciproco para que exista satisfacción. Me gusta dar lo mejor de mi siempre, por lo que espero lo mismo a cambio. Así que mis relaciones de amistad se basan en ello.

Are you detail-oriented with your loved ones? What kind of details do you usually give? (they do not necessarily have to be gifts, they can be other types of details)

Yes, I like to show them that I love them in different ways, with physical affection, words, and gifts. I usually give sweets, like cookies, as gifts. It is a safe gift because no one says no to them.

I also think that if I am going to give something as a gift it must be useful to that person, like something they need, or long for very much. Not only will that person have you in mind when they use it, but it also shows that you listen to them carefully, in addition to caring about their well-being.

¿Eres detallista con tus seres queridos? ¿Qué tipo de detalles sueles dar? (no necesariamente deben ser regalos, pueden ser otros tipos de detalles)

Si, me gusta demostrarles que los amo de diversas maneras, con afecto físico, palabras, y obsequios. Por lo general, suelo regalar dulces, como galletas. Es un regalo seguro debido a que nadie dice que no a ellas.

También pienso en que si voy a regalar algo debe de ser de utilidad para esa persona, como algo que necesite, o anhele muchísimo. No solo esa persona te tendrá en la mente cuando lo use, sino que también demuestra que lo (a) escuchas atentamente, además de que te preocupas por su bienestar.
