When embarking on any journey, short or long, going empty-handed isn't an option. We pack our travel essentials, our trusted bullets, and shields. Our body serves as the weapon, a humorous twist to our preparedness, right? One of our travel essentials that we can't do without is our gadgets and chargers. We're avid photographers, so our phones are indispensable. In fact, I bought my current phone specifically for traveling. Whether it's a short excursion or a lengthy journey, my phone is always with me, ready to capture every moment through photography.

SHORT TRAVEL

For a short journey, there's no need to feel overwhelmed. Simply pack the essentials: two shirts, two pairs of underwear, two pairs of shorts, and don't forget your sun protection gear. Short trips require minimal preparation. They're like spontaneous adventures, ready to be seized at a moment's notice. Most likely a spur-of-the-moment.

LONG TRAVEL

Preparing for a long trip is an endeavor that demands ample time and financial planning. I recall the anticipation and pressure when my friends and I decided to venture to Boracay. With tickets booked but pockets empty, we paused our usual contributions to our parents. We had to pack larger bags, ensuring we had everything we needed for days under the sun. It was a month-long process, beginning with booking tickets five months in advance. Stepping away from the familiar comforts of home for the unknown was a thrilling first for me. I look forward to future travels with friends, each adventure teaching valuable lessons along the way. Achieving this goal brings immense satisfaction, underscoring the significance of these experiences in my life. Considering we're limited to just 7kgs, every item packed must serve a purpose, reminding us to prioritize wisely and leave unnecessary baggage behind. We once entertained the idea of bringing canned goods and raw foods to cook in Boracay, hoping to save money for other expenses. However, uncertainty loomed over whether airlines would permit such provisions.

CONSIDER THE NEEDS OF FELLOW TRAVELLERS

When I travel, I make sure to pack extra essentials. You never know when a friend might need a helping hand. Being prepared for the unexpected ensures we're ready for any situation. After all, there's always a chance that someone might forget something crucial, and having extras to lend out can save the day. When traveling with friends, we often find ourselves borrowing items from each other, although underwear remains off-limits, of course. When it comes to fares, we ensure that everyone chips in, with someone responsible for ensuring no one gets left behind due to financial constraints.

DAILY TRAVELS

In our daily routines, it's rare to see anyone without something essential in hand. Women, whether strolling, commuting, or riding, typically carry more than just their phones—they're armed with makeup kits for quick touch-ups. This observation holds true in our community. Women often clutch their purses or small bags, always prepared. As for men, it's simpler: just their phones and a compact wallet. It reflects our tendency to carry only what's necessary for the journey ahead, prioritizing utility and convenience in our daily travels.
