I tend to find this particular challenge interesting because I combined Origin Point, colors, sounds, and routes since I couldn't participate last week, but last week was about cultural or historical fragments, which I did see as a guide or quest for my curiosity. The more routes I saw with symbols and landmarks, the more curious I became. I think I saw two Y-junctions in this route, which shows structure and complexity.

There was this particular signboard that was leading us to somewhere, and I was so curious to see where it led me to.

Location - Steem-atlas

I was struck by the largest transformer on this route. I've not seen such a highly protected transformer before that's as big as a diesel generator. This made me curious to know where this road will lead me to, and I saw other signs.

boards, which actually increased my curiosity. To get to this route, you must drive or walk past Ifa Atai Big Junction if you're coming from Ibiaku, but if you're coming from Mbiabong Market or Oron Rd, Uyo City, you'll have to stop before Ifa Big Junction is by your right. It's the last street before the junction.

Since the route is connective to a lot of locations, I'll only spell out the first and the last location, which are my starting and ending points. The distance from the starting point to the end point is a 15-minute trek on foot. The most meaningful part of this route, which I'll pin, is the endpoint, and our endpoint justifies how we can get to this place from the starting point. So I'll need to provide a concurrent guide.

This transformer road route is a street that connects different streets to meet at a particular point or intersect, so to speak, and the funny thing about this route is that it's filled with Y and T junction structures. The route is graded, and I think it was graded some months back, as this route was not challenging during rainy days. So from this starting point, we'll be passing through a series of paths, starting with the left before the right. I think almost all paths were taken on the left, and a few were taken on the right-hand.

With the description and landmarks I'll give, it would be very easy for you to navigate because these buildings have numbers, and you can see these numbers by checking the walls of the building. So if I tell you to locate number 40 before turning right, it would be very possible with these pictures.

Short Narrative

I'll tell you about my walking journey from my starting point, and it will be more of a step-by-step guide so that anyone can navigate my paths.

What really attracted me to this route was the big transformer by the left-hand side of this route, and that's how I picked this place as my point of interest because I was curious to know the connectivity of this route. I've never seen such a big transformer before. I also wanted to know who is living here.

When I entered the route, I kept on with the straight journey even when I saw a closed street by my right with a signboard that said Way to Foursquare Gospel Church. I didn't enter the closed street. I went ahead until I saw a Y-junction. I took my right and kept on moving.

As I moved, I saw that there was something in common with these houses. They had an identification written in paint. This identification is to help number the houses according to how they are structured from the top, where I was coming from, to the bottom, which I didn't know.

Before this identification, I noticed that most of the landmarks here were the gates because most houses had prominent gates like the ones displayed or shown here. These gates come with barbed wire to prevent unauthorized access. I then noticed a small compound with a large entrance with a numbering of 13-17. Though I didn't see the individual houses, the large entrance made me so curious.

I should still continue on the track because there were no other paths to follow. It got to a point where I saw a big flat that's two storeys. This is another prominent landmark to guide someone because there's a large compound entrance by the right, so you must go LEFT when you see this building. When you leave now, you'll still see fancy houses. Take note of the number, 29. Keep on going and you'll see a tall MAST, which is another landmark because it's the only mast I saw there.

The mast told me something big was close by, and in no time, I saw a very big hotel that's completed but not opened in that estate. This made me have a candid moment with the building, the size, the structure, and the color. I've never seen such a large hotel in this place before. Even the hotel I was looking for wasn't as big as this. As I walked past the hotel, I saw a signboard on a Y-junction. This signboard told me to go somewhere, and I was curious. I took the left of this route and then paused at the number 40 for a while before taking the right of another street.

In less than 2 minutes, I saw another signboard with the same inscription on the LEFT, which I followed to another street until I got to work on the RIGHT, where I saw the hospital and moved straight after a couple of views. I went straight ahead and got to a T-junction. I went straight and then turned my RIGHT onto what seemed like a lonely path. There's a house that's there to act as a landmark. On reaching the house, I turned RIGHT on a bush track and turned LEFT and RIGHT again and still LEFT until I got to the tarred road.

From the tarred road, I turned RIGHT and followed the streetlights to where it stopped and continued from. It was leading me somewhere, and I did follow it. On my LEFT was a point of interest to me, as I spent some time here and captured the signboard I saw.

I followed the streetlight till I got to a school that's beautifully painted in blue and pink. I still headed for the goal to see where the streetlights will end, and that's how I got to my END POINT. It was just so fascinating to see this magnificent building here.

Moments I had in this route—Distinct Moment

I paused when I saw a beautiful structure, which tends to be an American style. I could just take my eyes off it. The structure was big and expanded with coffee shades, which made it unique. The design was also unique and different from all others on that route. And then, I saw the light of the world among lights, leading me to the path of righteousness until my end came. This was the most prominent of all because of a signboard beside it. It made us understand where we were going.

1001813049.jpg1001812951.jpg1001813025.jpg

I then came across another instruction in red and then paused for 3 minutes to see what was going on there but could see the end of the long entrance.

How Does It Connect?

In my route, this journey to my end point wasn't announced because the signs didn't really lead me to my end point at first. It led me to somewhere else and still made me pause and think about what the unending route was meant for and where it would lead me if my curiosity made me chase it.

On this route, my origin point was clearly seen, and that was my starting point, and I was struck with the question of why the biggest transformer is seen on this street.

I then used the sound of the generator from the tall mast to navigate my way even though I couldn't get to my endpoint immediately. The constant red color was dominant in people's gates, paintings on the walls, and others, which include interlocking and zinc. Almost everything about this GeoQuest was reflected here.

Hidden Clues
  • Check out the order in my video. You must watch and be mindful when watching.
  • The first stop is the dangerous color sign, which enhanced curiosity, and the second series stop is Dubai in Nigeria, not yet commissioned. The third is an object that leads me to the path of righteousness. Nothing does this better than this object, especially at night.
  • Crack these codes and get the sequence. You can use this to enhance your guess. N H S. NHS is the sequence of my cue. It's the first letter of the stops, and you can see this in my video if you watch it well.
