A Boat Trip to Jervis Bay NSW, Australia
Today I will take you to Jervis Bay in New South Wales, that I visited with family and friends a while back. This trip offers an unforgettable boat trip through its pristine marine park.
This is a renowned trip for clean greenish waters and milky white sands. We were staying close to Huskisson, so we reached there walking at the right time.
Soon the cruise glides past dramatic cliffs where we saw caves and big fish sailing through hidden passages that one can visit by boat only.
We spotted playful bottlenose dolphins leaping alongside, whales, and of course, sea eagles aplenty.
We did not see any seals, which they tell us bask on rocks, probably because it was raining most of the time.
But what we saw those towering limestone rocks and crystal-clear lagoons like Honeymoon Bay kept us amazed.
We wanted to see kangaroos on the shores of Hyams Beach, with the world’s whitest sand, but as I said, rain could not let us do a lot of things, so our trip was limited to a boat cruise.
We saw caves and high waves add a sense of ancient wonder, perfect for photos, which I took, and a couple of videos.
I must say we all enjoyed this 2-hour tour, well explained by the guide, and of course the boat driver shared local ecology and history sitting behind us.
That day even the boom netting was not possible due to bad weather, and I could see the disappointment written large on the faces of thrill-seekers, as it deprived them of the feeling of the ocean’s thrill amid possible dolphin visitors. We saw a couple of dolphins and a whale, and that made our day.
And the joy and excitement I saw on children's faces was simply indescribable. They kept shouting "dolphin" as and when they saw one.
