Nature- You and Me

Friends, nature has bestowed so much upon you and me but have you ever done anything for nature in return?

I have a message for you that centers on our collective responsibility toward nature.

Friends, how much nature has given us, you me, to you! Lush green valleys, flowing rivers, sweet breezes, and branches laden with fruits and flowers, everything, all for me you and everyone.

I have traveled since childhood, across India and subsequently through different countries of the world. I sat at the banks of the Ganges and the Yamuna to watch the sunset and sunrise, and I have walked in the Himalayas.

I have savored the fragrance of flowers in countless gardens, both at home and abroad. With every breath, oxygen, with every step, the nurturing growth of the earth. Yet, every now and then, I would pause and ask myself, "What have I done for nature?"

Very little but Yes!

Initially, I too, was caught up in my busy routine, the official projects, management duties, travel, and household chores. I would observe people carelessly tossing aside plastic bottles. I would see others squandering precious water.

Then, one day, upon seeing polluted drains and waterways, something within me arose a sense of unease and alarm.

I realized, "It is time for a change." I began by taking small steps. I banned plastic from my home and switched to using cloth bags. We have long been planting trees in our garden—over 50 of them to date. I took up cycling, and eventually, I even sold my personal car.

My approach to travel underwent a transformation. I began exploring local destinations; we organized park clean-ups and collected plastic waste. I wrote blog posts and produced videos to share my journey by educating people on how to adhere to environmental guidelines.

Friends, nature is our savior, and we are dependent on her. If we do not give back to her, what will she have left to give us? Make a promise today: plant a tree, conserve water, and say "no" to plastic. I am doing my part and I urge you to do yours as well. If nature survives, we survive.

मैंने बचपन से ही बहुत यात्राएँ की हैं—पूरे भारत में, और उसके बाद दुनिया के अलग-अलग देशों में भी। मैं गंगा और यमुना के किनारों पर बैठकर डूबते और उगते सूरज को निहारता रहा हूँ, और मैंने हिमालय की वादियों में भी सैर की है।

मैंने देश-विदेश के अनगिनत बगीचों में फूलों की खुशबू का आनंद लिया है। हर साँस के साथ ऑक्सीजन, और हर कदम के साथ धरती का पोषण—सब कुछ प्रकृति से ही मिलता है। फिर भी, कभी-कभी मैं रुककर खुद से पूछता था, "मैंने प्रकृति के लिए क्या किया है?"

बहुत कम, लेकिन हाँ—कुछ तो किया है!

शुरुआत में, मैं भी अपनी व्यस्त दिनचर्या—दफ़्तरी प्रोजेक्ट्स, मैनेजमेंट की ज़िम्मेदारियाँ, यात्राएँ और घर के कामों में ही उलझा रहता था। मैं लोगों को लापरवाही से प्लास्टिक की बोतलें फेंकते देखता था। मैं दूसरों को कीमती पानी बर्बाद करते देखता था।

फिर, एक दिन, जब मैंने गंदे नाले और प्रदूषित जलधाराएँ देखीं, तो मेरे मन में एक अजीब सी बेचैनी और चिंता पैदा हुई।

मुझे एहसास हुआ, "अब बदलाव का समय आ गया है।" मैंने छोटे-छोटे कदम उठाकर इसकी शुरुआत की। मैंने अपने घर से प्लास्टिक को पूरी तरह हटा दिया और कपड़े के थैलों का इस्तेमाल शुरू कर दिया। हम काफ़ी समय से अपने बगीचे में पेड़ लगा रहे हैं—अब तक 50 से ज़्यादा पेड़ लगा चुके हैं। मैंने साइकिल चलाना शुरू किया, और आखिरकार, मैंने अपनी निजी कार भी बेच दी।

यात्रा को लेकर मेरा नज़रिया पूरी तरह बदल गया। मैंने आस-पास के स्थानीय जगहों को घूमना शुरू किया; हमने पार्कों की सफ़ाई के अभियान चलाए और प्लास्टिक का कचरा इकट्ठा किया। मैंने ब्लॉग पोस्ट लिखे और वीडियो बनाए, ताकि अपनी यात्रा के अनुभव साझा कर सकूँ और लोगों को पर्यावरण से जुड़े नियमों का पालन करने के बारे में जागरूक कर सकूँ।

बिल्कुल इसी वीडियो की तरह

दोस्तों, प्रकृति ही हमारी रक्षक है, और हम उसी पर निर्भर हैं। अगर हम उसे कुछ वापस नहीं देंगे, तो उसके पास हमें देने के लिए बचेगा ही क्या? आज ही एक वादा कीजिए: एक पेड़ लगाइए, पानी बचाइए, और प्लास्टिक को "ना" कहिए। मैं अपना फ़र्ज़ निभा रहा हूँ, और मैं आपसे भी गुज़ारिश करता हूँ कि आप भी अपना फ़र्ज़ निभाएँ। अगर प्रकृति बचेगी, तो ही हम बचेंगे। आइए, हम सब मिलकर हाथ थामें और एक ज़्यादा हरा-भरा, ज़्यादा जीवंत संसार बनाएँ!
