The Diary Post| 02/04/2026| I Planned my Next Project

in Traveling Steem3 days ago

I'm writing a diary post after a long time because it was a different day.

I woke up at 6:30 am, the sunlight filtering through the curtains reminding me that summer was approaching. I stretched a bit and got on with my morning routine.

I wanted to go outside and enjoy some fresh air. Although the weather wasn't cold, the morning breeze smelled of blooming jasmine—pure Modipuram magic. A few bikers sped past, probably in a hurry to catch the metro to Delhi.

I remembered to plan my next biking adventure, but not now. I went to the park in front and did a quick 10-minute meditation to calm my mind. I took a brisk 30-minute walk around my neighborhood.

By 7:30 am, routine tasks completed, I returned and checked my emails, planned a short video edit for my next post on local heritage sites, and tidied up my workspace.

Around 9 a.m., I picked up my backpack and headed to the metro station. I parked my scooter because I wanted to save petrol in this war like situation.

To be frank I found the metro ride into the city easier, with a clear view of the from the windows. And the way people were enjoying their trip.

I reached the office by 9:30 and dove straight into project management. Yes, I'm working on my next project, and it'll be in India.

Office dives, project timelines for the next collab, team meetings on working methods, report crunches. I started my work early in the morning with a coffee and some brainstorming. My Project Director loves my work.

Then, a little brunch from the office canteen, a spicy samosa, filled with a potato-pea filling with spicy chutney dip and, a flaky pastry with coffee.

Back to the director's office, we reviewed the next project's timeline, coordinated with the team for our project, and completed reports. Everything went smoothly, a productive flow. Everything was great.

At 1 p.m., it was lunchtime, I refused director's offer for lunch because I wanted treat myself in a nearby restaurant that serves delecious Biryani that melts in my mouth, along with curd and a spicy curry. I enjoyed every bite.

So the launch ended, I had a delicious Biryani, made with aromatic Basmati rice, my favorite soft saffron and cardamom spice, a cool Raita, and curry. I thought I was making mental notes for a food review post for Steemit.

I returned to the office, finished the remaining routine work, and the afternoon meeting ended at 5 p.m.

The afternoon was spent in more meetings and programming and reprogramming the ideas, and now it was time to head back home.

So I finished my day, and a local coworker gave me a lift to the metro station. I came back with the evening rush, earphones on, and I was listening to a podcast on my upcoming project.

By 5.40 p.m., as the sun was still shining, I reached home. I took my scooter from the metro station as the people were returning.

I stopped at the local market and bought fresh fruits and vegetables on the way and reached home.

Then I had a light snacks with coconut water. This coconut was really too sweet and juicy, perfect, which I had bought from the market today itself.

Freshening up, I rested for a bit, and then suddenly the thought came to my mind that I should post this day's activities as a diary on Steemit.

I am thankful for this steady and fruitful day, it gives rise to big dreams for the coming days.

Finally I had another stroll at about 7 by then the sun had gone down and the lights in the park and houses were fully on.

And what happened to your well-deserved retirement?? And your exciting travel plans? Surely you must have finally had enough by now...

Your question brings a smile on my face but let me assure you that this is not a regular job but project timelines for the sake of guiding the teams working on my old projects in India. I have some expert suggestions for them just because my Project Director loves my past work.

As far as the travel plans, the fares have gone up, the concessions for senior citizens withdrawn and number of services reduced. The hotels have reduced food services due to shortage of gas and hotels staff facing uncertainties.

I will not be surprised if I hear a public announcement "Dear passengers, we are out of gas, so fasten your seat belts, put your life jackets on as we plan to land in the nearest possible wheat field as we have no fuel left to continue the journey." It might sound like a joke but I love looking at the possibilities. Thanks for your kind words.

Oh. And I thought we have problems here...

Hang in there and make the best of it...! So, basically, business as usual ;-))
