prayer together at brother's house

Tonight my family and relatives gathered at my relative's house to carry out tahlilan and prayer together, commemorating the 100th night of the deceased's passing. An atmosphere full of solemnity and emotion enveloped this event, remembering how great the loss had been felt since he returned to Rahmatullah. This tahlilan is a form of our love and respect for the deceased, as well as a moment to offer prayers so that Allah SWT will give him the best place by His side.

The pickle begins with the chanting of holy verses from the Koran which are read together by the congregation. The atmosphere of prayer and dhikr sounds melodious, bringing a calming atmosphere. In our joint prayer, we asked for forgiveness for the deceased, expressed the hope that his deeds of worship would be accepted, and that he would be given grace and love in the grave.

After the joint prayer was finished, we continued with the dinner that had been prepared. This simple yet blessed dish complemented our togetherness tonight. The congregation enjoyed the meal while having light conversation, remembering the kindness of the deceased during her life. This togetherness was a reminder that even though the deceased had passed away, the relationship between family and relatives must still be maintained.

After the tahlilan event, I returned home with mixed feelings of gratitude and emotion. Although tired after a day of activities, I still enjoyed the habit of enjoying a simple dinner before going to bed. Tonight, as usual, I chose a plate of warm white rice combined with boiled noodles. This combination may seem simple, but for me, this is a food that always provides comfort after a long day.

While enjoying the meal, I reflected on how precious moments of togetherness are, whether when gathering with extended family or when alone at home. Life is a series of memorable journeys and every moment with loved ones is a gift to be grateful for.

Tonight I end with a prayer for my family, for the deceased and for everyone. I hope the deceased gets the best place in the sight of Allah SWT, and may we who are left behind always be given strength to live the days ahead with gratitude and goodness.
