Activities of the Kemilau Integrated Health Post in Blang Village
Today my beloved village, Gampong Blang, Syamtalira Aron sub-district, is again holding a posyandu kemilau activity, which is a routine agenda to ensure the health of mothers and children in our village. Since morning, the Gampong hall has been filled with mothers bringing their toddlers, complete with cheerful smiles and enthusiasm. This activity is held to monitor the growth and development of children and provide health education to the community.
The integrated health post cadres
Upon arrival at the hall, I saw the posyandu cadres working skillfully. They prepared various equipment such as baby scales, height measuring devices and child development records. Mothers were invited to register first to get a queue number. While waiting, a warm atmosphere was felt among the mothers who shared stories about their children.

The activity began with a health check for toddlers. The babies were weighed one by one, then their bodies were measured. The cadres recorded the results carefully to ensure there were no signs of malnutrition or other health problems. In addition, there was an immunization session for toddlers according to a predetermined schedule. Health workers from the Syamtalira Aron Health Center were also present to ensure that the service was running smoothly.
not only for children. posyandu kemilau also provides attention to pregnant women. blood pressure checks, weight and education about healthy pregnancy are part of this activity. pregnant women are also given vitamins and additional supplements to ensure their health and the health of the fetus they are carrying
In between activities there was a short counseling session about the importance of a healthy diet for children. The cadres explained how to provide a balanced nutritional intake, such as vegetables, fruits and protein. This activity really helped mothers to understand their children's nutritional needs.
In addition to health services, the atmosphere of the integrated health post also feels like a gathering place. Children play together, while mothers share experiences. This makes the integrated health post not only a place for health services, but also a means of building togetherness between residents.
The posyandu kemilau activity ended around noon, and every mother went home satisfied because she received good service. For me, this activity is real evidence of the importance of caring for public health in our village. Hopefully, this posyandu kemilau will continue to run well and be an inspiration for other villages.
