In the past week, we visited a newly opened water park in Wuhan called Wuhan Urban Construction Senbo Water Park. It’s quite similar to Tianyu Lake in Xiaogan, focusing on a resort hotel with some amusement park facilities.

This park just opened in June. Then, one day in May, there was a sudden flood of promotions everywhere.

On the first day when the early-bird tickets went on sale, a colleague told me about this new park. I checked the location and found it wasn’t too far from my home.

I was really tempted, so I quickly bought three tickets in the morning when the early-bird tickets were released—one for one adult and one child, and two adult tickets.

The early-bird prices were 159 yuan for one adult and one child, and 99 yuan per adult. Considering the scale of the park, the prices were really reasonable.

After all, tickets for Wuhan Maya Water Park cost two to three hundred yuan per person.

I checked the validity of the early-bird tickets I bought, and they’re valid for a whole year. They can be used at any time except for over a month from July 11th to August 25th, and they’re valid until December 31st.

A few days ago, seeing that the blackout period was approaching, I took my kid there on a weekday, two days in advance.

Before going, I did plenty of research online and found that the park is extremely popular this summer. If you take your kids there on weekends, it’s packed with people—like "dumplings boiling in a pot" at the water park.

So I chose a weekday and took a day off from work.

After taking my kid there, I found the environment was much better than I’d imagined. Its positioning is different from Wuhan Maya. Wuhan Maya Water Park mainly caters to adults, with more thrilling and exciting rides.

On the day we went, I checked the ticket prices again and was shocked. The prices were more than double what I’d paid for the early-bird tickets. They’d already returned to the original prices: 380 yuan for one adult and one child, and 230 yuan per adult. That means two adult tickets would cost 460 yuan. I instantly felt so smart—saved hundreds of yuan in a flash.

The water park here has rides suitable for both adults and kids. Some of the adult rides are outdoors. The kids’ area is divided into several sections: one for toddlers and another for children under 12. Though it’s slightly smaller in area than Wuhan Maya, the functional zoning here is well-planned. There’s also the fascinating treehouse hotel, which I saw in the pictures—it looks really nice, and the environment here is great too.
