My Actifit Report Card: April 11 2026
I headed over Mingus Mountain to Prescott for a solitary trail run through the Granite Basin forest trails.

We received a little bit of much needed rain overnight so the landscape was refreshed and the air nice and clean.
There were quite a few people already out at Granite Basin and I had plenty of company on my 5 miles winding through the high country forest (both hikers and mountain bikers).

I wasn't bothered with a slow 11 to 12 minute pace as I just wanted to enjoy the scenery and have a good time. There were several nice little climbs and the loose granite gravel and I didn't want to trip or fall.

I had a nice little rest at the small lake at the base of Granite Mountain where I watched families out for a picnic and even a couple of eagles soaring high over the mountain.
A relaxed day and just a couple of weeks before we start our trek back to Spearfish for the volunteer season.
