My Actifit Report Card: February 12 2026
I spent a few hours prospecting with Lulu oven on Lynx Creek yesterday and didn't run or hike much since I was able to park close to the site.
So today was a day to get back to some exercise.
After our usual morning walk (where Lulu got to try out her new pretty pink and blue harness 💖) I did a decent 5 km loop on the local trails and connecting roads under perfect conditions.
The temperature was almost a little bit too warm for my long sleeve shirt but otherwise it was great - bright sun, dry trails and plenty of birds in the trees.
My legs felt good but my endurance is probably only good for a maximum of about 6 miles right now which is pretty meager. It will be nice when we're back in SD as I feel so much better up in the Black Hills.
Another afternoon 2 miles out on the Verde River trails with Lulu before dinner to wrap up the day's activities. 
There were only a couple of other walkers on the trail but lots of songbirds singing in the trees as well as lots of smells that Lulu often paused to check.
Even spotted a big Darkling Beetle out and about which wasn't too pleased to have its afternoon exploring interrupted.
