My Actifit Report Card: February 25 2026
A hard day of hiking through the forest, digging buckets of muddy muck while sitting in a hopefully of muddy water, standing in the rushing cold water of Lynx Creek and then hiking back out - all in all it was a GOOD day.
The snow up inthe hills was melting in the mild weather so the ground was muddy but the trail wasn't too bad. Still, I was carrying a heavy backpack so it was a rough hike. Lulu was happy to run ahead and explore as we trekked to mile and a half to my prospecting spot.
Then it was several hours in the muck and working the buckets for gold. Lots of little flakes but about $40 worth for my efforts.
The hike back helped to loosen up my back and legs and we both enjoyed a nice snack back at the car.
Nice to see Mother Nature starting to wake from her winter slumber with some early blossoms starting to show.
