Contest: 2024 Achievements
Hello all,
This is my entry to the contest "Contest: 2024 Achievements" in the "Steem Venezuela" community.
So, here I'm posting about the best achievement in my career in 2024.
I could complete my B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) degree in 2019, University of Moratuwa. There, I learned in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
In 2021, I could start my M.Phil. degree at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, also my workplace. My supervisor was Prof. KR Koswattage, who was also the Dean of my faculty, Faculty of Technology. He is one of the most renowned experts in Nanotechnology in Sri Lanka. During my postgraduation, starting time, he was the head of the Department of Engineering Technology in the Faculty of Technology.
)So, with my M.Phil. degree, I wanted to do research combining Nanotechnology and Electrical Engineering. As a result of a wide literature review, I selected research to use different kinds of nanoparticles to enhance the thermophysical properties of transformer oils. So, the thesis topic was "A comparative study on the thermo-physical properties of vegetable oil-based nano-fluids as a power transformer insulation oil." During this 2.5 years of time I could use the facilities of the Faculty of Technology to conduct my research. Also, I could make several research publications during this time. Also, I could win the Best Researcher award for the Faculty of Technology for the year 2023.
After successfully completing my progress presentations and the final viva voce, I could be eligible for the 2024 convocation.
It was more exciting to be a postgraduate degree holder for that day. Also I was the first to receive my degree certificate on that day. It was one of the most important moments in my life. I could take my wife, father, and sister's daughter inside the convocation hall for the convocation.
