Hello friend, I have a similar story like you. Being in the marketing I never had time for pets besides going from place to places prevented me from having any pets. But once my daughter brought a Lebra with her he has become more than a family member.
I agree with your point that if you have a pet in your home you benefit in more than one way. You become a little more active and careful besides going out frequently even if that is for walking your dog. I am enjoying my experience as Lebra is a perfect family dog.
