THE DIARY GAME : 22/08/2020 - Household Activities

My daily work commenced when I woke up at 5:30 am as I usually to do sweep my compound. I am the only woman now in this big house having large compound. We are two, and the Nurse has left for further studies. I began the sweeping from the corridor, kitchen and ended at the main compound. For the main house, it's made with tiles, and often mop it 3 days interval to reduce the work load. Today I decided not to mop, since I needed to scrub the bath and toilet too. I have to also do some washing of the family clothes. After I finished sweeping, I had to scrub the bath and toilet. I then gathered the clothes to the main yard of the house. I used about 1 hour to complete this washing, tried them on the drying lines. I used pegs to clip them tight to avoid wind which might blow them away.

It was time to feed my family too with breakfast. This was easy for me since I have some cabbage stew in the fridge. The next action was to cook my plain rice and and to the stew. The gas cooker made this simple and fast. That's why I love cooking with it. Within 20mins, the food was ready to serve my family.

After serving the family, I went to take my bath, as a woman, I needed to always have my bath before taken my meals, this of good practice that my Mom thought me. I bathed before taken my meals. I then came and dressed up, since I had to go to town and do some mini shopping grocery for our supper. I smeared my pomade on my body with little make-up to appear nice as we know woman cherish their body so much. I finished with my lips, face and my hair.

I was ready to going to town to make my purchases. Before then I needed to check my nose mask and pulse

When I returned, I didn't waste time at all. I had to begin the preparation of my food. I was having some fresh groundnut which was given to me by my Mom. So for groundnut I didn't include in my grocery list. I put my silver on fire and fried for some few minutes. I had to pound it in with mortar and pestle. I used about 15mins. I had the support from my 8yrs daughter too. I steamed my meat and other ingredients and prepared the my groundnut soup. On my menus list, we planned eating rice balls today, and nothing changed for this. For few minutes, everything was set for my family. I was even surprised, I finished quickly. I had to serve my family, while I still had something do before I take my supper. My children and husband were served leaving me.

The clothes were now dried up and needed to remove them. I went and checked, everything was ok. I removed everything and shook them I there were any insects which might enter them. I put them in my bag and continue the next activity. Bathing my young boy after he has taken his supper. I then ate my food and bath also took my bath. I had little interaction with my phon, chatting with friends & families on WhatsApp. Reading some few posts from others, since it has been a long time I shared my post. Well, I was very tired because of the intensive work, I was even dozen when I had to lay my head so that lately I write my daily game post. Oh look! , I over slept, it's even day break for me to continue the morning activity. But must find time to write my Diary post too. I think I must end here with much greetings.
