Steem Cameroon Contest - International Epidemic Preparedness Day(Bangladesh)

Hello aware friends, a pandemic is an outbreak of an infectious disease that can spread over a larger area than normal and cause infection among people. This International Pandemic Day is observed on December 27 to raise awareness among people. I thank @steem-cameroon for raising awareness through this series of awareness days.

As I said above, it is an outbreak of an infectious disease that can spread rapidly among people in an area, like a contagious disease that affects many more people than usual. A pandemic is a viral disease that reduces the human immune system.

This Pandemic Preparedness Day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly on December 27, 2020. This day is observed to create awareness among people to be aware and control the pandemic during Covid. This day is to take action on what kind of preparations can be made to control the pandemic and what we can do.

Suggest and draw a mascot to represent the day. Give a brief description of the mascot.

Awareness can be our biggest preparation to protect ourselves from the pandemic. If we are aware ourselves and follow hygiene rules, we can prevent any disease or pandemic. If someone is infected with a virus, then if he does not come into contact with others and follows all the guidelines including health check-ups and vaccinations, the risk of spreading this virus to others will be reduced. We can use the media and use leaflets, posters to make people aware.

International Pandemic Preparedness Day has given us an important message of awareness and unity. Controlling a pandemic is not a solo task, it requires unity and awareness of all to control it, which this day has spread awareness in our community.

Health awareness has increased among us, especially since the post-Covid period, many people are using masks regularly and giving priority to cleanliness. People are emphasizing on staying healthy and how to control the disease and making others aware. Covid has shown us that the pandemic is not just a health problem, it is also a social and economic problem that has left people alone in various areas including quarantine, isolation.

Who are the active promoters, and what do you think can be added to make more impact in your community.

Active promoters for Pandemic Preparedness Day The Department of Health and WHO in our country, who made us aware during the Covid period, have given various information to control the pandemic. By increasing health awareness, they have spread awareness among the people of Bangladesh.

Pandemic Preparedness Day is more important and long-term plans can be taken to make an impact, which will complete pandemic preparedness. Such as providing training to the general public about basic healthcare. Continuing research and vaccine development activities about new diseases. Conducting activities that can prevent the pandemic. Providing more awareness-based advertisements in the press and media. Calling people to unite to prevent the pandemic.
