The Diary Game: Pounding Yam For Christmas And Attending A Picnic (25-12-2024)

The yam was getting cold so I had to pound harder and faster. Today was Christmas day and I have being anticipating this day for a long time now. I didn't plan on pounding yam but I had to because my landlady knocked on my door at about 6am, informing me that she will need my help to pound yarn for her. I attended Christmas service in church today. The service wasn't long as usual but short and brief. After service, I hurried home to help my landlady because I had a lot of events on my agenda and a picnic was one of them. She planned on preparing white soup with pounded yam. When I got home, she was already done preparing the white soup and the yam was boiling on fire. I pounded the yam as fast and as hard as possible to avoid lumps in the pounded when it gets cold.

After helping my landlady, I arranged what I decided to contribute for the picnic I mentioned earlier. Actually, It was a get together arranged my old-time primary school mates. Everyone was supposed to bring something for the picnic and what I decided on was egg. I boiled water, poured it into a bowl, carefully placed the raw eggs and allowed it get done. I then transfered the eggs gentle to a food flaks to keep it warm .

Few minutes later, I got a call from my friend, who decided to cook , he was done cooking and I should stop by so that we could go together. I took my bath and dressed up for the picnic. When I dropped by my friend's place. He was still dishing the food into a cooler, so it would remain warm for a longer time. When we were done with everything, we transported ourselves and the food to the location.

When we arrived, the event had already begun. We quickly joined the others. The picnic was engaging and fun filled. I had a very good time and I don't think I will forget this Christmas in a short while. People brought different kinds of food and it was lovely. We played games and had fun.

My Christmas was well spent. I enjoyed every bit of my day. I pray 2026 be more interesting and successful than the previous years. Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
