The Diary Game [April 2, 2026] // A Day of Editing, Blocks, and Rain Battles

in Steem Cameroon23 hours ago

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me just how many different things I juggle at the same time. From sitting in front of a screen editing a video to standing outside in the open air making sure construction work did not get ruined by rain — it was a full day from start to finish.

I started the morning with my content work. I had been putting together a short video for my YouTube channel on the story of Lilith, and yesterday I finally sat down to finish the editing. Lilith is a dark, mysterious figure from ancient folklore, and the video needed to feel cinematic and intense. I worked on getting the cuts right, making sure the visuals matched the mood of the story. Seeing it come together was satisfying, because a lot of thought went into that piece.

After that, I moved over to setting up my ElevenLabs account. ElevenLabs is a text-to-speech platform, and I needed it to generate a professional voiceover for the Lilith video. I picked a voice, tested the settings, and typed in the script. Hearing those words read back in a deep, storytelling voice made the whole project feel more real. I spent some time adjusting the speed and stability settings until everything sounded just right.

Later in the day, I had to leave the screen and go outside. There is a block-making yard where I supervise the production of building blocks, and I needed to check on the work going on there. The workers were busy stacking and laying out the blocks on the ground when suddenly the sky started turning grey. Rain was coming, and if it hit those freshly made blocks, it could ruin everything.

I quickly moved to help the workers get large white tarpaulin sheets to cover the blocks. It was a rush — everyone was moving fast, pulling the covers over the stacks and the ground while the wind was already picking up. We managed to get most of it covered just in time. Standing there in the middle of all that activity, sweating and working with my hands, was a completely different energy from the quiet editing work earlier.

By evening, I wound down by going back online. I uploaded a few posts on Steemit and checked in on some people in the community. It was a good way to close the day — staying connected, sharing content, and being part of something bigger.

All in all, yesterday was productive. Different worlds, same hustle.

❤️I hope you enjoyed very much by reading my post. Thank you so much for reading till the end❤️
