My Short Movie Script
Characters:
Milon - Male, early twenties, aspiring artist
Maria - Female, early twenties, Milon's girlfriend
Nadia - Female, early twenties, Milon's best friend
Kishor - Male, early twenties, Milon's college roommate
Scene 1 - Milon's Apartment
(Milon is sitting on his couch, painting. Maria walks in, carrying a bag of groceries)
Maria: Hey Milon, I got you some of your favorite snacks.
Milon: (smiling) Thanks, Maria.
Maria: What have you been working on?
Milon: Just a painting I'm trying to finish.
Maria: It looks really good.
Milon: Thanks.
(They kiss)
Maria: I'm going to put these away.
(Maria walks into the kitchen as Milon continues to paint. Nadia walks in)
Nadia: Hey Milon !
Milon: Hey Nadia.
Nadia: What are you working on?
Milon: Just trying to finish this painting.
Nadia: It looks great.
Milon: Thanks.
Nadia: Hey, do you want to come out with me and kishor tonight?
Milon: Sure, that sounds like fun.
Nadia: Great! We'll pick you up at 8.
Milon: See you then.
(Nadia leaves. Milon continues to paint. Maria returns from the kitchen)
Maria: Who was that?
Milon: Just Nadia. She wanted to know if I wanted to go out with her and kishor tonight.
Maria: That sounds like fun.
Milon: Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
Scene 2 - The Bar
(Milon, Nadia, and kishor are at the bar)
Milon: So, what are we doing tonight?
Nadia: We thought it might be fun to try out the karaoke.
Kishor: Yeah, it'll be a great way to let loose and have some fun.
Milon: Okay, let's do it!
(They sing a few songs and have a great time. As they are leaving, Milon notices a painting on the wall that catches his eye)
Milon: Wow, that painting is amazing.
Kishor: Yeah, it's by a local artist.
Milon: I'd love to meet them and talk to them about their art.
Kishor: I'm sure they'd be happy to talk to you.
Scene 3 - Artist's Studio
(Milon is at the artist's studio, talking to the artist. The artist is showing Milon some of their work)
Artist: So, what do you think?
Milon: It's incredible. I love the use of color and the way you capture movement.
Artist: Thank you.
Milon: I'm an artist too. I'm trying to find my own style, but I'm struggling.
Artist: It takes time to find your own voice. Just keep experimenting and exploring.
Milon: That's great advice. Thank you.
(They continue talking and Milon leaves feeling inspired. He returns home to his apartment)
Scene 4 - Milon's Apartment
(Milon is sitting on his couch, painting. Maria walks in, carrying a bag of groceries)
Maria: Hey Milon, I got you some of your favorite snacks.
Milon: (smiling) Thanks, Maria.
Maria: What have you been working on?
Milon: Just a painting I'm trying to finish.
Maria: It looks really good.
Milon: Thanks. I finally feel like I'm finding my own style.
Maria: That's great!
(They kiss)
Milon: I'm going to finish this painting.
(Milon continues to paint. Maria smiles and walks away, leaving Milon to his work)
