The Diarygame (29-12-2025) WOMEN OF NKA UFORO IBAN UKPUM OKON CONVENE FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The meeting commenced on a solemn note with an opening prayer led by the group's president, Deaconess Ime Adiamkpo. In her invocation, Deaconess Adiamkpo expressed gratitude to God for His love and protection over the members throughout the year.
The prayer extended blessings to the nation of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State, and the Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, while also entrusting the remaining days of the year into divine hands.
Following the prayer, the atmosphere shifted to one of joy and celebration as lively music filled the hall, prompting the women to dance and bond in rhythmic harmony. The energy was palpable, reflecting the group's strong sense of camaraderie and cultural pride.
Deaconess Mercy Peniue, the group's secretary, then took the floor to formally introduce the executive members and other attendees, cultivating a sense of inclusion and recognition among the participants.
In her presidential address, Deaconess Ime Adiamkpo outlined the group's achievements over the past year and shared visions for the future, emphasizing unity and collective progress.
Adding to the agenda, Mr. Kokoete Obot, the Senior Cooperative Officer for Ikot Abasi, presented a detailed account to the women, providing insights into cooperative initiatives and financial matters relevant to the group's activities.
A key highlight of the meeting was the election process, where members overwhelmingly voted to retain the former executive team, allowing them to continue their leadership roles.
This decision was met with applause, signaling strong confidence in the current administration. Additionally, a new customer care committee was formed, aimed at enhancing support and services for members and the community.
In her acceptance speech, Deaconess Adiamkpoh expressed profound thanks to the women for their impressive turnout and the trust they had placed in the leadership. She warmly welcomed the newly formed customer care members and called divine strength for the group's endeavors. "With your continued support," she urged, "Nka Uforo Iban will rise to become the best women's group in Akwa Ibom State."
The meeting concluded on a generous note with the presentation of gifts to members, a gesture that symbolized appreciation and reinforced the bonds within the group.
