The Diary Game [24/04/2024] // Sick Day at Home.

in Steem Cameroon12 days ago

Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my daily routines with you all. On this day, I wake up from bed feeling weak, and my eyes were dark. It was like I haven’t slept for weeks. I decided to take a cold bath thinking it will make things better but hell no, there was no difference and I laidback on the bed for a while. My husband had to prepared the kids for school. After laying down for some time, I got up and drank some milk to regain energy.

Then I had to cancel all the work I had programmed to be done on this day. I felt like I needed enough rest which I was not getting enough. I got no choice but to assist my husband to prepare the kids lunch packs for school. I made them tea and bread for breakfast because I was not feeling well to prepare something heavy. When they left for school, I had to go back to bed and rest well.

I later got up feeling hungry and needed food to eat. I had some leftovers in the fridge but could not eat it because I needed fresh food to eat. My husband called to find out the situation and told me to go to the hospital to consult. Aaah, I do not like hospital environment at all and I only go to the hospital for worst case scenario hehehe. I knew what I needed for was enough rest and I will be fine.

I thought of going to a restaurant to eat but I got bad experience with a restaurant that made me hate to eat outside apart from the food I prepared. I decided to cook some rice. I did not know exactly what I wanted but I knew rice will be easy and less stressful to cook. I sliced all the ingredients needed.

Just slicing the ingredients alone I was already feeling exhausted. That is just me when I’m at home, I am always doing one or two things and ended up not getting enough rest. Thank God the next day was declared ghost town by separatists fighters and I console myself to get enough rest the next day. I entered the kitchen after relaxing a bit on the couch and started cooking the rice. It was easy to cook it after the ingredients were done.

My pot of rice was ready to be served.

It was already afternoon around 3:00 PM when my kids were back from school. I had to serve them food and also eat a bit because I’m not a fan to rice. I only cook rice because my kids love it so much. If I’m alone at home I don’t think I will ever cook rice. When we were done eating, I ensure we all napped for a while and I wake up to review articles in the Steem-Cameroon community.

The evening hours was spend with my husband watching soccer game. We started watching the game between Man United Versus Sheffield United. I just watched it for entertainment and don’t actually have a particular team I’m supporting but any team that plays well I support them. My husband is Arsenal fan and he always tensed whenever they got a game. On this day we decided to support Man United because of their keeper Andre Onana who is also the keeper to our national soccer team.

The first half of the game was complicated as the underdogs threatened to trash Man United. Notwithstanding, the end results favoured Man United as they won the game 4:2.

Immediately after the game, I decided to call it a day and went to bed, hopefully will get up better and stronger the next day. Until my next diary session, it is goodbye from my end to you all.

You are a strong woman, being sick and able to prepare this yummy fried rice. That means if you are okay you will compete with the world Guinness chef

Hahahahaha, I cannot even near those chef competing for the Guinness world record. I don’t have that strength at all, but to cook at home, I can go extra mile for my kids.

So sorry about your health is not always been easy with a nursing mother with work and house chores. It's makes the body to break down. I know that is one of the things that caused you to be sick.

Please I have been hearing you mentioning

ghost town

Please what does it really means because here in Nigeria we don't have such thing.

As for your mail it really looks tasty and yummy.

It's always fun to watch the football match at home but I know men do like going to the play station to watch the ball. I'm glad your husband is Arseneal fans like me.

Ghost town is imposed by separatists fighters in the English speaking regions of Cameroon where everyone is expected to stay at home. All activities on this day are grounded and even government offices are not functional on this day. It is a form of civil disobedience they used to force the government to dialogue but the government considered them as terrorist.

Wow that sounds interesting. Before I use to wonder if Ghost do come out on that day . That's why every one stay at home to avoid being hurt.
