The Diary Game [24/12/2022] Christmas Preparations.

Season greetings dear friends on the steemit platform, the Christmas Day is around the corner and serious preparations ongoing on the eve. Around my location, everything was moving on well and I could hear the cry of cow, goats, chicken and pigs as serious slaughtering was ongoing on this particular day.

The traffic in town was something else and in the market, one could spent almost an hour on the same spot due to traffic. The reason why I always do my preparations ahead of time to avoid all the unnecessary stress on the eve.

I wake up from bed on this day early at 5:00 AM and did my morning meditation 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️. This is my usual routine as it is the time I use to reflect while exercising. I took my shower after the meditation session and prepared breakfast for the family.

After taking breakfast, I had to smoke all the fresh cow meat. I do not usually consume fresh cow meat and the best way to avoid some sicknesses, I make sure I smoked the meat or I buy already smoked meat. It was a tedious task as the sun was hot and temperatures hot. I had to look for charcoal to do it outdoor on an open air so that I will be able to cope with the heat.

The meat smoking took me almost the whole afternoon period. I had to put it bid by bid in order to be able to smoke it faster. I had already cut the meat into desirable sizes to ease the drying process. I spiced the meat with salt and Maggie. After smoking, I put in trays to sun it for about 2 days before taking it into a bucket and locked. This way, I can use it for a longer period.

I was done with the meat around 4:00 PM and was tasty to drink something cold. My husband brought me a cold juice to quench my tasty throat. I could not hesitate to drink directly from the container.

When I was done, I had to mix grind egussi to boil against the next as I will use it to cook vegetable soup and white yam. I usually do so in order for the egussi to be well cooked to avoid running stomach.

In the evening hours, I had to bath the kids, fed them and also took my shower. Neighbours gathered around and bought two crates of drinks mixed with beer and sweat drinks. We stayed up drinking and discussing till around midnight.

The tiredness in me at that midnight was so bad as I could not do anything else but go to bed. I quietly left the discussion, and few bottles of the drinks left and went to bed. That is how my day ended and at this juncture I wish everyone merry Christmas.
