Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W3 | Elections in my Country.

I hope all of you will be fine and doing well with the great blessing of Allah Almighty. My name is Ali Hassan and today I'm going to take part in this contest which is held by Steem Cameroon and this contest is also a part of Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 8 week 3.

I am very excited to take part in this Contest. Steem Cameroon bring a very interesting contest for all of us and i hope all of you will enjoy my entry. Good luck to all participants.

Election is a way through which we cab rule on government. Actual Elections are the path to select your government or your representative in government. It is very important to take part in elections and cast your vote. I hope this Contest will raise the knowledge for Elections.

What do you think about Elections in your country:

Elections play an important role in the Selection of a leader or a government in a Republic Country. Pakistan is an Islamic Republic and here government is chosen by election.

Every citizen who has National Identity Card and is above 18 can cast vote without any restrictions. Now voting is about to come as few months left. Although Government is chosen by elections but the opposition and people have threat that the Current government has theft votes and gain entry to government.

When elections take place in Pakistan government took many actions to control the elections and don't allow anyone to misbehave or abuse in elections even army is also deployed on critical polling station to keep the environment cool.

What do you think about the electoral system in your country?

The electoral system in my country is old and traditional there are no changes from a long time and nee government is selected from same electoral system. The main problems in this system is corruption, Some parties try to buy votes or keep the voters to thier sides by hook or crook.

One of other problem in this traditional Electoral System is that most of opposition parties who didn't won elections claim the election as it was not elected it was selected and said like this. So, there is a poor system in our country to elect a party in government.

I think the system need to change and update to the current requirements. Today is the age of Technology and many countries are utilizing it in electoral system and i think it is better to adopt new technology to make the system more clear and wipe out the abuse person who play with people rights.

I think Electronic Voting System is better to adopt and It will assure the transparency of elections and every party will accept such elections and than government will be declared Elected and such elected confident government will develop our pakistan.

How is it done in your country?

Elections in our country done after every 5 years but there is no Prime Minister or government who completes 5 year since from the foundation of Pakistan. It is very critical situation that no prime minister able to complete his 5 year and this is just because of Elections and the system of elections in our country.

When the elections came every Party start it's electoral Vote gaining process, thet go to villages and try to convenience them to vote them. They promise thier people to work for them and will provide them with basic needs and jobs.

In this way they compaign all over thier area and try to convince people to vote them and the voting day came, people cast thier vote in polling stations near to thier towns and city and polling end at 5 pm and results came one by one.

Next day the party which gain more seats all over the country will announced as winner and that party took the government and select Local bodies and other ministers.

Is it transparent and fair in your country..

Some people say it is Transparent and some people say it is not transparent. I think it is mind of likeliness and disliking the people who said there is no transparency are those whose leader lose in elections and the people whose leader won claimed that the elections were fair and transparent.

But according to my point of view elections in Pakistan are not transparent. But this doesn't mean it is all over pakistan, There are some cities where there is no corruption and there are also some cities where corruption is at peak.

But there is sure thing that elections in Pakistan are not fair and are not transparent.

What solutions can you propose to ensure its being carried out the right way?

I think Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is best for elections in Pakistan. Our Ex-Primeminister took this matter seriously and he focused on fair and Transparent elections. He proposed the way of Elections through EVM but opposition didn't agree on it.

In my choice EVM is best way to carry out Transparent elections because no one can cheat with technology. I hope coming elections will take place on EVM. I will also go to Cast my first vote.
