Today, I'm excited to share how my Friday unfolded—a day marked by both activities and profound reflection as I attended the burial of a dear friend's mother. I started my day early, valuing the importance of being prepared. I woke up on time to organize myself for the day. The first thing I did was clean my car, wanting everything to be in order for the significant event ahead. Once the car was ready, I dressed appropriately for the solemn occasion of the burial ceremony. After I was fully prepared, I headed to the venue, which was at the Shelter Africk football field in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. As I arrived, I noticed that this was a large gathering, filled with family, friends, church members, colleagues, and well-wishers who came to offer their last respects. One of the most memorable parts of the day was reconnecting with old friends I hadn't seen in years. These moments remind us just how quickly time passes and how life can lead us in different directions. We exchanged pleasantries, reminisced, and shared some laughs, even amid the somber setting—it was truly heartwarming to see familiar faces again.

The burial service organized by The Apostolic Church was both touching and well structured. Ministers delivered inspiring messages about the nature of life, the certainty of death, and the hope of eternal rest. Their words served as a reminder that life is fleeting, urging us to lead meaningful lives while we can.
We gathered to support our dear friend, Mr. Aniekan Antia, mourning the loss of his cherished mother, Deaconess Affiong Antia. The testimonies shared during the service highlighted her virtues and faith. Many spoke of her kindness, dedication to God’s work, and the positive impact she had on others. Clearly, she lived a life worthy of emulation, and her legacy will endure through her children and the lives she touched.
As the ceremony continued, emotions ran high, particularly during the final rites. Bidding farewell to a loved one is never easy, regardless of one’s preparedness. We came together to offer our last respects, reflecting deeply on our own mortality and the importance of valuing every moment with loved ones.

After the burial, there was a brief time for guests to mingle and express their condolences to the family. I took a moment to encourage my friend, reminding him to stay strong in this challenging time.
