The Diary Game: 02/03/2022| Empowerment conference
On Thursday morning, I woke up feeling really excited. You'd think I had some big reason to be excited but there was none.
I prayed and did some morning meditation then my floor exercises as always before leaving my room.
When I stepped out, I saw that I was the first person to be up.
I quietly did my chores and prepared myself to go to the business center.
I made sure to check on my mom before leaving the house in case she needed something.
When I got to the store, I opened up and cleaned the place before displaying goods and settling down.
I attended to a few costumers and not long, my mom came to take over cause I had to go for an event..
I returned home and had a proper bath, dressed up and left the house alongside my sister who was going to work.
We got into a cab that dropped her off first and then took me to the university campus where there was an empowerment conference holding at the American Corner in the library building.
I walked through the very empty campus (it's semester break) and into the American Corner where I was given a badge.
Thankfully I was early enough as I walked in just when the first speaker was being introduced.
The event was very uplifting and inspirational. I learnt a lot from all the speakers. I was also able to make new connections during the networking break.
The conference ended at about 3:30 pm where we took some pictures and departed.
I left the venue and went straight home to drop off my books and eat.
At 5pm, I went to teach the kids I'm tutoring. They showed me their tests papers and I was so happy cause they passed so well in all the subjects I teach them(maths, physics, biology, chemistry and ICT)..
At 7:30 pm, I finished teaching and went to help my mom park up and we both returned home.
And that was the end of my day.
