Introduction

Do you know childhood is playhood?
Do you know children learn through play? Offcourse! Learn as much as I do to care for these little angels better🥰

Any structure/schedule that does not make room for playtime, robs your child of their childhood. Play time is very important for your child's all round development. Did you know that play is linked to intelligence?

For me to do it, I did not have to print it out. I instead drew the chart on a piece of paper. together with the kids, we made a list of all the eventually activities of house chores that we need to do at home.

 Example of responsibility chart

• morning meditation
• evening meditation
• making up the beds
• sweeping the house and mopping ( divided into sections)
• sweeping the yard ( divided into sections)
• cleaning the toilets
• craft activity
• revision time
• period to watch tv
• time to bath
  -Time for meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• assist in the kitchen
• feed the dog if any
• pick Washed dresses and folding
• arrange the rooms and palour
• clean furniture and window protectors
• time to sleep at night
• go to church
• attend family meeting
• play in the yard.
• visit if necessary.

Since I have just one secondary school student at home, I asked him to draw his and I did joined my boys in the elementary and Drew with them.

Then I started reading the activities and each child was identifying what they wished to do on particular day.

Your structure and routines are not complete if they do not include sufficient time for play and allow for different types of play. Where most parents struggle is how to get their kids to learn how to transition from playtime to 'serious' time. Actually you should make room to accomodate some amount of play in almost every activity.

If you are such a parent that does not tolerate play and regards it as unserious, please remember that play is how children learn best, it is how they interact with their world. Play helps in brain development and boosts creativity. It is key to building social skills, language development and even physical development like muscles.

Conclusion

Make time on your child's daily schedule for play, don't forget to play with your kids too. Because play is soo important to your child, it is one of the keys to strengthening your parent child bond.
