The Diary Game : Attending a Carnival and other Activities (27/12/2025)
Yesterday, Saturday, the 27th December, was memorable. It was full of good sights to behold. Welcome to my blog where I share my daily activities with my friends on this prestigious community. Happy Sunday to you all. The Southern part of my country, Akwa Ibom, is rich in culture especially during this yuletide season. After helping my sister at her site, I attended one of the biggest carnivals in my region. Let me tell you a story of how my day was.
I woke by 6 am to assist my elder sister clear the site of her house. I love her because she has been supporting me in my academics. When she told me to accompany my immediate elder brother to clear a site of her house, I didn't hesitate. By 7 am, I was there helping.
My sister had built a three bedroom bungalow but wasn't able to roof before of financial challenge. She said she was ready to continue the building in January, 2026. She intended to roof this house soon. So we had to help her clear the bushes that have grown around the area. It took us about two hours to complete this work. She was happy

I came back home to prepare for the carnival at my neighbouring town, Eket town. It's a two hour journey in a bus to Eket. I had attended this carnival some years back and it was awesome. I didn't want to miss this other edition.
The event had started before I arrived. It was rich. There were nice and beautiful sights to behold. I couldn't snap all the beautiful scenes. I was carried away by the scenes that I even forgot to have snapped a lot of pictures. There were different display by different groups.

There was a display of masquerade. This masquerade is believed to carry good luck to young adults who are singles and want to marry soon.

There was another big masquerade that captured the attention of everyone. It pulled the attention of almost every spectators to this display.

It was becoming dark in the evening. I had to plan to come back. Majority of the bus drivers have travelled to enjoy Christmas with their families. The little buses that were available were under struggling. I was fulfilled and had to return on time. I came back home by 8 pm.
I was extremely tired. I needed to relaxed. When I got home, I refreshed myself and rested.
That was how my day was. It was a fun-filled day. Thank you for reading my post. Have a nice time. Till I come your way again with another exciting engagement, remain blessed.
