The Diary Game: Loosening My Old Braids And Other Engagements(17-12-2025)

Hi, It's @purpleidy23 again. Trust you're doing great? Yesterday was the day I decided to take down my old braids despite having two events to attend but I decided to settle myself first. I had planned to attend my course mate's marriage introduction and my senior colleague's inauguration but when I woke up, I had a slight change of mind. I did my chores and went to @imaken's shop to do the needful. I went very early expecting that I'll be done before noon but it didn't play out as planned.

While I was loosening it, I began to contemplate on whether to wash the hair immediately I'm done or take it home and wash it myself. Reason for contemplating was that @imakenn informed me that her generator is bad and if I'll wash with it that she won't blow dry it because there was no light and her generator was faulty so I thought it would be better to do it myself at home. Before we rounded up, I asked the apprentice to wash the hair since I loosened it for free, it would be unfair not paying for anything in someone's business place.

While washing my hair, my senior colleague called to remind me of his inauguration and further added that I shouldn't miss it. I apologized ahead to him and told him of my tight schedule and the possibility of not attending the event but he kept insisting and to get him off the phone, I gave him assurance of showing up. The young lady finished washing my hair and dried it with towel and while I sat for it to dry, I called my siblings to know their position in their class as close has closed for this term. My kid sister excited announced to me that she took first again, making it the fourth time in a row and I'm yet to fulfill the promise I made to her if she took first position in her class.

I asked her to remain calm that I'll fulfill every promise I made to her and by the time, I finished speaking with my siblings and my mom, my hair had dried up and I packed my bags and left heading to a cyber cafe yo print my plastic NIN. Before I got to the cyber cafe, I was very hungry and had to enter the nearest restaurant to buy a plate of food for lunch.

I spent almost an hour there and when I was done, I found my way back home. I got home and took my bath and just as I was about to prepare for my course mate's marriage introduction, I saw a notification in the group notifying us that the bus conveying us to the venue had moved. I was semi happy and sad, I felt happy because the sun was too hot and I needed to rest but sad because my course mate might feel bad because I didn't show up as I was among the first set of people she told about her introduction and marriage as a whole.

I slept thought out the noon and when I woke up, went outside to play whot game with my neighbor. This time, I was the one who challenged my neighbor to the game, I was so bored when I woke up so I decided to make myself useful by playing game. I paused the game when it became dark, fixed dinner, ate and took my bath. I wrote my diary before going to bed.
