Powering up by @shieks on Tuesday 9th August 2022

Hello great Steemians, I am delighted to share with you my power up post for Tuesday 9th August 2022. I had earlier encouraged by @fombae to power up all my earnings so I can grow faster, that if I possible, I should do a powering up post.
That day, I signed into my platform and went straight to check notifications and there was the notification to redeem my rewards, so I clicked on Redeem
I was asked to confirm my user name and password which I did immediately, using my posting key and clicked on the sign in button.

It took me back to my wallet and I checked my steem tokens and clicked on the down pointing arrow head and which gave me a list of drop down commands from which I chose power up. Powering up on steemit is the process of converting steem tokens or Steem Dollars into steem power, which increases the user’s voting power. The more your steem power the more one can earn per vote on a post, steem power also increases our influence on participation on the platform. In order to be able to delegate steem to other users, one needs to have enough steem power.
Then came the page that asked me to confirm if I want to convert my steem power and to confirm it. I clicked highlighted balance of 2.238STEEM and clicked on power up.

It took me back to my wallet and I checked my steem dollars and chose the market option, from which I used all the highlighted amount of available steem dollars, 0.172SBD, and the page indicated that it could buy me 2.075STEEM.

I clicked buy steem and clicked the “OK” to confirm the order which I did and then I was asked to input my user name and password, still using my posting key, I was logged into my wallet where I was then asked to confirm transfer to vesting and I clicked ok and I was asked to log in to my wallet using my posting key which I did and my powering up procedure was all done.
