THE DIARY GAME: 19-01-2021

Greetings to all members of steem Cameroon. Its with great honour for me to bring to you another epistle of my daily diary. It was anticipated to be a very busy Monday for me and the company BEYOND. Got up very early (5:56am), and when to the studio room. JP and his crew members arrived at about 6:23am. We had to clean the room since alot of carpentry work has been going on in the hall. After we were done cleaning, we started setting up the hall.

Since the studio is upstairs, we had to go through some stress taking the equipment from the warehouse (downstairs) to the studio. When we were done bringing up the equipments at about 11:50am, we went to have our breakfast fast. We had bread and spaghetti with tea for breakfast.

Indeed it really was a delicious one. The girls had done a good job. After the breakfast, i rallied the boys (at about 1:20 pm) and went to the studio to continue with the setup while the ladies went to the kitchen to prepare food for super. It took us alot off deliberation on how the positioning of the instruments would look like. When we had gotten a better position, we then started positioning the stuffs. It really took us much time (about 4hours) to setup.

After setting up, I had one challenge which was actually to have blue and red lights on the par lights. I went online to YouTube and search for it and finally got a way of doing it. I then experimented it and it was ok.

We then proceeded with the general balancing of all the instruments from the bass, drums, percussions, pianos and the lead microphone. When it was over, we had the general balance. All the instruments played along following a song led by the lead singer (J Praise). At about 5:21pm the backup singers came in. When we started balancing their microphones, the lights went off. We then decided to switch to the generator. We then balanced the individual microphone of the of the singers. Then we had general balance and test recording which included all instrumentalist, the lead singer and the backup and the camera man. After it was done, everyone (JP crew members) had to go and change and come back so the recording could commence. By 7:24pm, the recording had started.

The recording was a big success and it lasted till about 11:24pm when JP was done recording 7tracks. After the successful recording, we took many pictures.


Since the painters were to come the following day to paint the hall, my boss told me I had to park everything that night back to the warehouse. Though being very tired, we parked everything.

We finished parking at about 12:53am (it was already Tuesday in the morning). We then came in, had our supper (🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣). I literally took my bath at few minutes to 2am and with much tiredness I immediately went to bed praying my sleep should really be long. Thanks for reading through my daily diary.
