The Teken Field Tire Embankment Project | ... upcycling tires into a 150m long embankment

Today, we launched the first phase of the Teken Field Tire Embankment Project with CAMSCI Freestyle Football Club taking the lead in the digging and installation of tires for the 150metres long and 1.5metres high tire embankment.
CAMSCI Freestyle Football Club is the pioneer of football in Teken Quarter, Mile 4 Nkwen Bamenda, and this explains why the club took the lead with the project.

The Teken Field Tire Embankment Project after work by Freestyle F.C

For 150 minutes, Freestyle F.C successfully built a 10metres long tire embankment as you can see in the image below:

The Teken Field Embankment Project aims at building a 150 meters long and 1.5 meters high tire embankment at the Teken Community football field located at Teken Quarter at Mile 4 Nkwen, Bamenda in the North West Region of Cameroon.
Through this project, @thegreens looks forward to realizing the following;

1. Raise awareness about tire pollution
2. Stop tire pollution and most especially the burning of tires
3. Put a price on used tires to give them more value. I@thegreens is currently buying tires at 100CFAF which is almost equivalent to 0.6 Steem. Through this project, I look forward to giving used tires economic value.
4. Level the Teken football field, making it a safe playing space. To do this, I will be constructing a 150m long and 1.5m high tire embankment that will serve as a retaining wall to stop the field from further eroding.
5. Install Mushroom Seats around the field for onlookers to be able to sit and watch the games
6. Plant over 1000 trees and flowers around the Teken football field.

Next week (Monday 11/04/2022), Manda Veteran, Teken Veteran, Noni Veteran, Alahlie Veteran and other football clubs using the field will continue with the embankment.
