#club100 // The Diary Game : BetterLife with Steem (07/08/2022)

Hello dear steemians, please accept warm greetings from my end, despite the cold weather these days. I hope you are doing great. I had a very swell day yesterday with family and I would like to share it with you?

I got into my town in the morning from a work trip at about 10 am. While I was unpacking when I had gotten home, I received a text from my brother that he'll be passing by after church. I unpacked, cleaned a few things and then freshened up. After that, I went to the living room and boomed the whole area with my loud gospel musical tunes. I was so thrilled that I was dancing all alone😄. At some point, while still having music on, I logged onto the steemit platform to see what was new. I read, commented and upvoted several interesting posts. I even joked with a few members about the food they posted in their posts and one of them gave me an open invitation to a pepper soup joint when I step foot into Bamenda, while the other assured me that as long as people like her are on this platform I should get used to food. This chop palava na better action and ey go surely tey😅.

I heard the door bell ring at about 12 noon and when I got to the gate I was pleasantly surprised to see not only my brother, but his wife and my nephew as well. I was so happy to meet them and they as well. They brought me some garri (fried powdered cassava into granules), my own portion of what our aunty sent from Bamenda. Having food sent from home is a blessing and you are sure it's the best of qualities. Since they had to move round the different family houses to share that of others, they didn't stay long with me. We chatted for a bit and they left for the next home.

After they left, I spent some more time reading, commenting and upvoting more beautiful posts on the steemit platform. In the course of that, I equally learnt from another member (@b-naj) how to use markdowns to obtain the grey line seperations that I'm using in this post. So at about 3pm, I called my aunty whom I had promised I'll pay her a visit to be sure she was at home and she said yes. I left for her home which is about 10 minutes drive from mine, but I made a detour to the market to get her some watermelons. She was so happy to see me, we sat in her room chatting, played some gospel music which we were both singing. She served me pineapples while she savored her watermelon.

EVENING

So at about 6pm, we were already hungry. She heated some eru she had cooked and I assisted in making garri. The meal was so delicious that I ate more than I had first served. @chant and @fombae wuna see say nobe only wuna fit chop nor😅.

After we ate, I helped her clean up and then we kept chatting and listening to music. I was about to take my leave at about 8pm when it started raining. I stayed for a bit to let the rain subside and I finally left at about 9pm. When I got home, I took a warm bath as the weather is very cold these days. I logged in once more onto steemit to interact a little before I sleep. I must say, apart from my physical day, I had a very beautiful virtual day on steemit as well.

I rounded up with all that at about 11pm. I did my night prayers and off I called it a day.
