RE: ▶️ Discussing OpenOrchard With Andrew Levine | EP#316
A wonderful interview as this project has perked my interest since its announcement. Although giving a respectful tip of the hat to the HIVE chain, in reality it sounds like another nail in the HIVE coffin and the next step in DPoS development. Speaking of which is this meant to be DPoS?
Delegated proof of stake, which is what we have on here and Hive. This project is in no way competing with Hive. In fact I would say Hive is killing Steem. DTube just enabled operability with Hive and Hive is worth double the value
Personally they have both proved to be a failure in governance to me. With 10,000+/- active HIVE users selling off their STEEM to buy more HIVE the price of HIVE will naturally feel upward pressure. Let's revisit this when the power downs started after the forks have finished in about 8-9 weeks from now.
So it is DPoS which plans a fairer distribution and no ninja mining with their own token, while Condenser is open source yet there is no possible competition with HIVE?
