PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION 1
11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, THAT THE PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION MIGHT STAND, NOT OF WORKS BUT OF HIM WHO CALLS),
17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” "
Romans 9:11,17 (NKJV)
• The major purpose and the primary assignment of whoever is born-again is to reconcile others to God through Christ Jesus. Every believer is an ambassador of God's kingdom on the earth (2 Corinthians 5:19,20).
- You have the assignment to preach the gospel to others, witnessing to others, especially through your character—how you live (Matthew 5:14-16).
- Someone with negative character traits, or one who lives in a hidden sin, would find it difficult to witness Christ to others.
- Your attitude towards other people speaks volumes—speaks more of you than whatever you would say with your mouth.
- You have the responsibility to love others. The love of God is poured out in your heart as a believer in Christ Jesus, for It to be expressed or demonstrated (Romans 5:5).
• The truth is, It is not a mistake to find yourself where you are; in the neighbourhood you live, and the place where you work.
- It is not a coincidence that some are sharing their problems with you, wanting you to counsel them about the challenges of life they are currently facing.
- God has allowed them to come your way, because He has taught you some vital things in your walk with Him, which you can teach them and would be beneficial to them, and help them out of their predicaments.
- Whatever God has taught you through practical experience, what you did pass through in your relationship with Him; are meant to be shared with others.
- You are to comfort those who are hurting with the comfort which you were comforted by God in your tribulations (2 Corinthians 1:4).
• You share your experience in Christ Jesus with them:
a. Tell them about the goodness and the greatness of God in your life.
b. Tell them about the challenges you have gone through and how God has helped you to overcome.
- You are in your locality to bless the people around you, with what God has taught you through His Word and the experience of life.
- Start ministering to the people, it is your assignment.
- Do not trivialize or push away what the people shared with you that bothers their hearts, instead, counsel them and pray with them on it.
YOU also take it up in prayer and put it before God in your own private time of prayer.
• Those challenges in the lives of the people around you are the assignments through which you would be trained for kingdom work or ministry before other bigger responsibilities would be given to you.
- If you had the call of God on your life, the people around you and the people you meet daily are usually the first set of people who God would want you to be ministering to. As you are faithful in doing that, other doors of ministry would begin to open for you.
- You are to attend to the needs and the predicaments of the people and bring them closer to Jesus. God wants their souls to be harvested, that they may be reconciled to Him (2 Corinthians 5:18,19).
- As the believers in Christ Jesus in general had an assignment, the ministry of reconciliation, to reconcile others to God, however, there are some who are given specific assignments (Ephesians 4:11,12; 1 Corinthians 12:27,28).
• The power to fulfil is released and imparted to you in Jesus' mighty name. You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, such is rebuked and completely uprooted in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace!
